Could the reason that they have not bought back any share for a month be because they are in the "close season" in front of the results ?
I seem to recall the close season is usually 2 months before figures are announced.

Which in the great scheme of things is not very much at all, especially considering that a few years ago 40% of the company was owned by 2 holders, namely Woodford & Invesco.
With the FT showing market cap today at £149m and a free float of 309m shares 2.8m shares overhang is like a schnapps in the wardroom of the Scharnhorst.

I read as positive the rns today announcing that DLG is today paying off a lump of debt (FRN's), this is arguably a better use of their capital than paying out even more in dividends as it leaves them free to increase divis more swiftly in the future.
Also makes the accounts rather less complicated.

For sure it is the news that screwin' brewin went out at a price 62% or so above last night's close.
Jim really is as cheap as chips, imho.
I use Jim regularly and genuinely find them very efficient & very helpful, so would honestly prefer it if the family didn't sell them...
Far cheaper to buy a platform & then add a few wealth managers to it if an overseas entity wishes to scale up in the UK and last nights market cap was just under £100m so not a lot in the great scheme of things.

I just bought some on a 10% discount, I like the trust, & the sector, so 10% dis made a compelling reason for me to top up.
The trust have been buying back the shares as well so how much wider is the dis likely to go to ?

I have just topped up too, clearly there is a seller at present depressing the price but tbh a 6% historic yield is a pretty good place to park some cash at present.

Just looked at his previous posts, you're spot on, must be something wrong with him....

Worth reinvesting dividends today, even though they only pay tomorrow as historically they go up in anticipation of significant divi reinvestment.
I just did so at 227p which is a 6% historic yield

Indeed and a rise in interest rates is v profitable for JIM as they pay their depositors zero but receive cash interest in the short money market on those same deposits.

Well Mr Market didn't like JIM results yesterday and down again at opening today, though there is a piece in the IC about them today by Simon Thompson for anyone who has a subscription.
For what it's worth I think they are a long term buy down here, especially with interest rate rises in the background. A cynic would call me a stale bull but thankfully I am in a bit lower than current levels so just waiting for another bad day to top up.
