AN had a chance to re-set at the results. And he didn’t do a bad job on the day - including promises of love and respect for the ‘ day-traders’. However, once again he was not upfront with material info - in this case that AEG would require more cash than previously understood by the market. Why would he not have been clear on that point on the day of results? I can only think of one answer - he was focussed on hyping up the share price and gambling that investors would be more relaxed when this inevitably came clear. Maybe he would like to explain for himself if he ever reads these comments?

Well you won’t get any half-decent institutions investing into that.

For a brief moment i thought there was some opportunity here and put my toe back in the water. Very glad i thought better of it.

I understand why if you are in it you don’t want to sell - so many investors have already lost so much on paper. But AN fired his best shots at the results and he’s back at the lows already with a mountain to climb to raise more equity. The share price has fallen and fallen - and in my view it’s only going in one direction from here.

Thanks Phantom. Given your obvious expertise in these complicated matters, why do you think the share price carried on going down today? I am really confused when there is a $24.8 billion opportunity. Isn’t that a good thing? Can’t get my head around it at all ;)

No Phantom. It depends on the situation. Your example was intentionally childish. I get it. Funny but wrong.

In this situation Angles sales are negligible so even an order worth £1m is material. So if they wanted to they could provide some colour. And given their propensity to hype. ( eg $24.8B ) I am confident that’s what they would have done if it was significant. So my guess is it’s peanuts.

I am lost for words how many times this company has shot itself in the foot.

Holding this will require nerves of steel and might prove to be a very expensive hobby.

It’s another nail in the coffin of this as an investment. Replace a failed Chairman where there’s no trust with an insider. Genius.

Good luck to all still invested - I mean it. But I think if ( and despite others I think it is not a foregone conclusion) this thing is able to raise some money, the dilution and value destruction for existing shareholders will be ugly.

Actually i did buy a small amount at 17p ( as i mentioned at the time against my better judgement ) and sold too early on the results day. But i made 1p. And that’s worth celebrating for an investment in Angle!

I will not buy again until it’s clear they can finance this. Will be interesting to watch for rest of the year.

I sold out of this last April. Haven’t bothered looking again till the news broke on Apollo.

But been watching to see what happened on the bid - unsurprised to see it end as it has.

However, seems to me coming to it afresh that there’s some decent potential upside emerging here. So i am back in.

So after all the excitement, it’s back to reality: cash negative for a long time to come and a capital requirement higher than thought a few months ago.

That’s a recipe for a weak share price.

Researcher - that’s why i didn’t follow your advice and buy back in at 25p+

EC - you seem like a decent guy who is a bit obsessed rather than a massive ramper. But be careful here - they need to raise a lot of money and they have a long way to go before they prove this out. IMO - hoping for a bid is really not a sensible investment strategy.

The likelihood here is that the share price falls back to where it was before the results when unfortunately once again they were too clever by half. From there you can HOPE for good news flow which will drive the price up. But one thing you KNOW FOR SURE is that they will need to raise more money and if they don’t do it by the end of the year the pressure will ratchet up.

Emerald Carrots - you will find time and time again that hoping for a bid as part of one’s decision to invest / stay invested is the weakest of all possible reasons. No outsider can have the remotest idea of whether this is interesting to Abbott or any other company. Except….. this is tiny for Abbott and they could do it from petty change. So you have to ask yourself, if they haven’t done it already why do you think they might in the next 6 months?

I am afraid we are back almost to where we were before the prelims. Yes - we have a more upbeat picture of what Angle is up to. But the basic position remains the same - it’s going to need a lot of money. That’s going to remain a big problem for the share price IMO.

I didn’t hear the discussion today. But reading the comments i think what they have done is hype all the good stuff ( of which there is a decent amount ) last Friday but were not clear on the less attractive parts of the journey - IE on the timeline to break even and implications for capital raising. And that has been made clear today. In other words, they marched the punters enthusiastically up the hill with a vision of the promised land on the horizon only to push them straight back down again one week later. If that is the case this is really quite foolish.

I sold too early on the day of the results. But will be interesting to see where this sits end of next week.

No - i haven’t. Having made an error of jumping out too soon i didn’t want to repeat it by jumping back in too soon either! I am going to wait and see if it settles down post all the excitement :)
