Level 5 - They actually have cash till Q2 2025 - see November trading update.

So my guess is they won’t raise until 2H this year.

But the much bigger question is who will invest and how they raise £15m.

Sangijuelas - totally with you on that. They lost IR ( and to be fair he did try to hold Newland in check a bit ) and then they lost Jeffries who was a decent advisor / broker. All the Charlie’s on this chat who think insititutional investors pile into the market and buy after an announcement like last weeks are just too deluded. No institional investor ever does that in size. And Angle doesn’t appear to have an institutional following at all - unsurprising after they got badly burned after the last equity issue.

I don’t think an equity issue is coming this quarter. But it is coming and it’s going to be big. And who will be the cornerstone investors? I guess we can include Emerald Carrots and newgrange but maybe raising £15m+ will require a bit more than that?

Newgrange maybe you should pay more attention to the people you are blocking. But i guess it’s too late to give advice since we are blocked.

Anyway for everyone else - I took a look back at his ramping Angle posts - seems he became an expert out of nowhere - but weirdly none of his very specific ramping price predictions seemed to come true.

In my view you are right on the money on this. It’s very difficult to know whether Angle has ‘ the ‘ winning product. We have all hoped so at one time or another.

The biggest issue for me has been the behaviour of the CEO. He has been asked many times not to hype. But he can’t help himself. And there are a number of problems that lead form that - most specifically when he announces a ‘ breakthrough’ ( again note the emotive language ) you really don’t know what to make of it. And the key question - which i think you stated earlier - is what does this mean for commercialisation and revenues. We never get anything on that apart from nonsense about $100 billion markets ( and if that kind of chat isn’t a massive red flag i don’t know what is ). What we know is that he is proposing to make £6.6m in revenues this year - but we also knows he usually materially falls short of these targets. So it’s trading at more than 10 times Newland’s forecast forward revenues. That prices in a lot of success further out.

TomHuk has done brilliantly doubling his money on this. I didn’t play so didn’t win anything - but i also didn’t lose like the guys who were pulled in on the hype. When it hit 97p it had a market cap of £97m. Imagine the hope value in that figure. I would really love to buy into this long term - which is why i watch it closely and have bought a couple of times in the last six months only to sell out - but i fear that the delivery will fall well short of the hype.

So just checking i understand this:

1. As things stand Parsortix can only be used for research purposes

2. Angle is working with third parties so that Parsortix can be used for clinical purposes for breast and other cancers

3. You believe that 2 is not far off.

If that’s the case i can see it’s interesting.

Although i still don’t understand why Newland can’t spell things out clearly.

You will also see this in the Parsortix section which relates to possible customers for the system:

‘ Speak to us about why you should consider CTC analyses for your research and clinical studies.’

I concluded that it is only approved for research purposes. And it bothered me that this point ( if correct ) was never made clear - you would have thought ( if correct ) it should be made clear at every opportunity to avoid investor misunderstanding. Anyway - that’s why i have avoided this company for a while.

But - it’s quite possible it’s me who misunderstands the situation - in which case i would genuinely like to be corrected because it would have a direct impact on my investment decision here.

Newgrange - you seem to think Parsortix can be used for diagnostic procedures. I thought the same when i bought into this pre and post the FDA approval. Angle make it hard to see exactly what it’s approved for. And references to $100 billion market size don’t help understand this situation.

However if you go on the Angle website and look at the breast cancer section you will find this statement in the footer:

‘For Research Use Only. Not For Use in Diagnostic Procedures.’

So i take it that Parsortix is not approved other than as a research aid. If i have misunderstood this could someone please source the correct understanding as i would be a buyer on Monday.

I am not saying investors have been misled. But i am saying that the way these ‘ breakthroughs’ are presented allow people to invest on a false premise - because the detail is important but normally glossed over. And nothing seems to have changed.

TomHuk - it’s pretty painful when someone invests at 37p on the back of hype and the price ends up down nearly 40%. Thats a big loss. So whether you approve or not people like TG2D and i serve some small purpose which is to encourage a bit of caution and scepticism. And in my view - while it’s painful to miss out on profits ( as i have because of my views ) it’s a lot more painful to find yourself down 40% in one day.

Well done to those that made money in last 48 hours. I wasn’t amongst them unfortunately as I have long viewed Newland as a hyping liability so kept well away.

And listening to him just now reminded me of his FDA interview. No monetary specifics - just masses and masses of jam tomorrow from his ‘ breakthrough’.

Anyone notice whether he was careful to remind his audience that PArsortix is only FDA approved for research? Well guess what? He didn’t. And that’s one reason why you get people sucked into buying at 37p. Hopefully the price holds up for them but the prospects of trading profits from there don’t look great to me.

TomHuk - great you are in the money! Well done. Can see share price will rocket today. But let’s see over time. Maybe a good day to take a little profit?

I bought a lot last year in the 30’s and 40’s. Have been wondering about topping up for a while. Just bought another 15,000.

You have a point TomHuk.

But the way i look at this is that Newland consistently over-hypes and then fails to deliver.

For example he led his brokers to believe they would make £3m or revenue in 2023. But he’s going to fall short by £800k. He now promises to triple revenues. Even if he achieves that, it’s a paltry amount compared to the hype around FDA. This company is all about promises which its inevitably breaks.

So - look i do agree that this contract is a positive sign. It’s just that i think this company spins and spins and spins and i reckon this is much too little much too late. It’s the hype and resultant serious losses for shareholders ( including myself ) that really turned me against this company and i don’t think this leopard will ever change his spots. The share price performance yesterday also showed people don’t think he’s turned any corner except i see Berenburg is excited, but they have to be with a price target of 120p !

First thing - i agree it’s good news someone wants to pay for a service. Definitely good news. Can’t remember that happening too often.

However, we’re talking about $250k over some unspecified period for who knows what it costs to do. Maybe it’s loss-making? Some chicken feed contract that people are supposed to celebrate because it’s with a ‘ large Pharma company ‘ or is it a ‘global Pharma company’ ( Newland can’t help himself, can he). $250k! Let’s be generous and imagine he’s making $100k of cash profit from this ( which i doubt ), so he needs ten of them just to generate $1m ( otherwise known as £800k ) of cash. Meanwhile he’s burning through his cash pile.

It is indeed Newland’s first soggy lettuce of the year.

Sorry about that - a touch over-dramatic.

My point is that IR / building shareholder relationships is a fundamental strategic issue for Angle: they need to raise a lot of cash at some stage ( we all have different views on timelines ).

They failed to raise what they wanted to raise at the last raise ( and this i know for a fact ).

They have lost 90% for investors in that equity issue.

They have damaged relationships with all investors.

Nero has zero credibility with investors: That foolish interview after the FDA revealed a deeply arrogant individual whom no-one would wish to invest alongside.

And against this backdrop they apparently think it’s a good idea to drop the Head of IR and Jeffries.

Tomhuk - just got back from a nice dinner.

if Griffiths said that then IMO you should sell all your shares immediately.

Nero should have made this clear on the website don’t you think? So why didn’t he? And why wasn’t there a planned handover to a new head of IR? I have my preferred answer to that.

But there is a possible pattern here don’t you think?

Davyuk - i am afraid it’s you who are deluded on this particular point.

No company gets rid of a broker like Jeffries for cost saving. It’s a max cost of £50k per annum and provides all kinds of helpful investor access and advice ( and often research coverage ). That’s peanuts.

So either there has been a big falling out over something we don’t know about. Or Jeffries has had enough and walked ( my view ). If by any slight chance and Nero has fired them to save costs then the ship is sinking faster than i thought and that’s even more concerning.

It’s one thing to disagree about stuff - actually quite interesting to do that as i have found with TomHuk. It’s another to accuse someone of being deluded when the facts are pretty clear.

BTW - TomHuk - any answers from Angle on whether the Head of IR is still there or not?
