I know that the EQT gasification produces a syngas but this could also be 'scrubbed' to produce hydrogen as per the PHE equipment. You mention alternatives to salt water desalination. It has often been discussed on AFC Energy that the hydrogen fuel cell is ideal for countries where they have water shortage as the hydrogen and oxygen which goes in to the fuel cell produces energy and water.

There are some significant options to transition away from oil and gas dependence, gasification and fuel cells are a very promising alternative.

LordGibil. I would hope that the tri-party partnership would agree payment terms as you say. Staged payments is the way to go with the end using vesting design, equipment and construction. That way everyone is protected.

I only read a positive from this market info released this morning. It will only open new doors which have the potential to be more rewarding than chasing everything. I would like to see EQT turn down opportunities and focus on the most profitable. I get the general feeling that this may be the purpose of this initial work and potential collaboration.

Maybe Lordgibil your ME projects are not great financially as the type of work you are carrying out is very competitive. There maybe many other businesses in the same space.

I would expect that EQTs offering to be fairly niche in the respect that there may not be much competition for the market space and that would make EfW gasification projects a fairly viable commercial opportunity in the ME.

NRW have a contentious issue which they address in the letter which is one of the reasons why I sold out. It reads as though they are not convinced that this should be a simple variation and the plant is to be seen as something else which is the cause for contention. NRW are clearly working with SAE but have the issue that this is not just a conversion or variation and its not just an waste incineration facility. For that reason they will be careful to make the right decision and consider the external stakeholders not just the project.

It is a 'potential' partnership but if it proceeds it will be most useful in identifying key customers and approaching the projects with a clear financial understanding.

It is very important to understand the markets for your products. Too many companies have developed a product but do not fully understand where they will utilise its USP. That is not necessarily the case with EQT as the market for gasification is unfolding before their eyes but it will help to identify best opportunities.

This will really help improve win rates and would certainly take the pressure off EQT to grown interbly through recruitment.

Chilting. That is correct. This is not yet a partnership but likely to develop into one. It is a strategic marketing exercise to gain a deeper understanding and provide an informed strategy in which best to utilise what appears to be an increasing demand for the tech.

Why keep responding to every enquiry when this can be more strategic and provide a more profitable and greater win rate. It will focus EQT resources instead of spreading too thinly across several perhaps less lucrative opportunities.

Clearly the Asian Market is a target at this stage and not something that has been penetrated previously by EQT.

Don't get me wrong. This is not exciting because its an instant revenue stream but I can personally see this being a massive growth opportunity for EQT.

Thats what this is. Identifying key target markets and developing a clearer strategy in which to penetrate them.

Clearly EQT have much interest in their technology but I would suggest the aim from this is to engage with customers that will provide greatest returns and growth potential rather than just responding to every enquiry.

Having the strength of a large EPC behind them would give them weight and open doors.

martinu. EQT have more completed projects than PHE (I am a shareholder) yet they have not had a strategic partner to help get projects across the line. Project closure has been slowed however EQT are showing a clear strategy for enormous growth.

The point being that the thing that EQT may have been missing is a strong partnership which can open doors and bolster up the engineering and commercial element of the business. This is a collaborative approach which could provide major in roads to markets which EQT have not penetrated.

EQT have perhaps had many enquiries for deployment of their technology and are pursuing a large number of tenders. The collaborative partnership (if it is succesful) will provide a more informed startegic approach to project development and would certainly assist with business growth and project wins for EQT.

interesting development for EQT. Wood are a huge oil and gas EPC with around 60k employees. What is interesting is the partnership is with the middle Eastern branch. You would expect that the Asian Market is a priority target with huge potential for EQT technology.

Doors are opening and that project pipeline will be growing significantly over the next 12-36 months.

hmcad. I dont think SAE have a problem with achieving the emissions they believe are to be met. What is the concern perhaps is that NRW ' contend that different BAT-AEL apply'

What this suggests is that NRW are struggling to come to terms with a 'variation' to the existing permit and that the permit should be based upon other emissions targets due to the incineration of waste.

I am sure they will sort it out between them. The fact is this is not an easy one as there is nothing to compare it to. NRW will not want to get caught out and will be ensuring that it thoroughly reviewed before making a decision. They can only do what is correct according to certain directives and deciding what is applicable may be their concern hence the term used in the letter to SAE.

With all the recent statement from AAZ regarding their JV with CGNR its clear that it will go ahead.

In respect of AAZ and any conflict in the area of their current ops I would be surprised if that had an impact on plans elsewhere. Why would they stop looking to the future and how they will continue with producing gold, their main source of income.

The SAE leadership team appear very professional. They are not my concern. The project green light will be based upon the NRW decision based upon the subcoal fuel and whether this is a permit variation or a change to incineration. SAE have been pushing the variation but its NRW view or contention that it may not be as simple as that.

If anyone has any clarity I would appreciate it. My take on the wording in the letter was precisely that.
