These are 20 kg depends on the size of the moulds but there are codes from 2002 on mine Dore’ bar sizes.

These Doré’ are mainly of silver ores , Telfers are mainly gold so the bars should be heavier. The silver content is kept by the refiners to cover the costs from Telfer

Priorities have changed somewhat massively for Ggp, drilling needs to concentrate on Telfer especially underground.

The summer heat is coming down in WA, Antipa have already stopped at Geo01, perfect time to concentrate underground at Telfer. Planning for other areas for next years drilling campaign, they will have ready cash by then.

It’s most important to find and prove up more ore at Telfer to keep the plant going.

Atlantis is already being planned they’ve being doing a lot of work on 90 anomalies there, target 19 looks promising. A bit more drilling and we are on for 51% of the Rio jv.

Ernest Giles is like a needle in a haystack and were planning more surveys prior to drilling.

They’ve drilled Teague, Bootstrap and London and cores had been sent for analysis.

More work needed on Chilly.

Looks like our geologists will be extremely busy going forward.

Newcrest I would say couldn’t get the margins from Telfer to cover their requirements whereas the Red Chris and other mines had better margins.

Ggp are a leaner outfit that can get better returns from Telfer.

Newcrest had outdated practices and staff not knowing what the future held. Now they are excited about the prospects which should lead to better profitability.

I apologise if my post offended you but no I won’t be revisiting that trolls post. Anybody who wastes there life trawling through 8,000 of my posts to have a dig at me has an agenda and I have always suspected he has.

Regarding my research on Telfer, the narrative from Newcrest about Telfer from around 2013 has always been negative and the same around the Havieron satellite targets.

In 2015 they wanted to close it down then they discovered more ore underground and in the open pit that was viable.

My posts reflected the published reports at the time.

The rising gold price keeps bringing more ore into the viable phase, so of course Newcrest/Newmonts opinions change and mine has reflected that but also Goldworm led me to geological papers I hadn’t read and also Paddy found the West Dome Deep detailed research . This has opened my eyes to what is really down there.

Goldworm started me thinking about the actual prospects of Telfer one night in the pub last year before Newmont takeover started.

I asked Shaun about the 30m ton and he told me it included the 21.6m ton from the December MRE 23. That figure is what is in the Mine plan so they are mining that to replenish the stockpile, some of this Newmont used before and after the shut down.

He’s now telling us there’s 31.6mt, just going from the 15 month processing plan 21.6mt in that time means 2 trains are working, 31.6mt is around 18+ months.

The gap will actually be after 12 months because that’s when the mining is supposed to to be finished but he said in Liam’s interview the underground could continue in an another area as the infrastructure is there already. Also as my earlier post the open pit can continue downwards actually mitigating the gap in mining.

There’s too much ore at the moment on the ROM pad due to only one train being used they need to run the second to keep the underground and open pits working. What a lovely position to be in 🙂, so to your they won’t be just one train until Havieron ore starts but my suspicions are they will have to keep both working.

That latest photo of the stockpiles by Shaun is showing them full to the brim, they will need to get both trains working to get back to a steady state of flow.

The low grade stockpiles I believe are what SRK described as being on the ROM pad but mismanaged by Newcrest and could contain all sorts of grades. The pad needs clearing according to SRK. Ggp need to test these to bring it into the Mine Plan.

It won’t fill the gap between the current mine plan and Havieron ore but extend the 15 month to around 18 month.

Havieron ore will take some time to build up at the primary crusher pad at Havieron before transported to the Telfer ROM pad, they won’t start processing Havieron ore until there’s enough on the ROM pad for continuous production. The first year production is only planned for 1m ton so full production is highly unlikely.

Havieron ore being very high grade needs grinding to a finer micron than Telfers so it won’t be mixed.

The exploration targets in the acquisition documents have been drilled tested but need modelling to see if they’re viable and a mine plan formed. They are suggesting a low estimate of 1.3moz to 2.6moz high estimate so processing wise that’s 1.5 years to 3 years. This ore should supplement the Havieron ore to keep the plant operating before the West Dome Deeps comes online in 2-3 years time.

To me it seems things are going to move faster than we all hoped for.

I’m referring solely to the West Dome pit, this hasn’t been pumped out for ages, over the last 2 weeks it’s now virtually dry.

Works to remove ore on the north side of this pit are still progressing and is the main source of the 20m stockpile.

Why do I think it’s progressing faster? Well in London Shaun was quite emphatic about this base level being high grade and now it’s drying out there will be no reason for works in the pit not to continue downwards. This is not in the mine plan but is part of the exploration targets being modelled , looks as if this may have already been modelled.

I would suspect some strip back to the sides of the pit will happen at some point but no additional costs involved at the moment.

Ggp have been granted a 6th licence on the Woodlands area according to Landtracker maps. There are no more applications there for Ggp.

The SE end of Panorama has definitely been released by Ggp although their website still shows them having it
