We don’t need AI to tell us this could be 10moz at Telfer. There’s huge amount still to find about the West Dome pit. They’ve found a zone of around 2g/t below the base of the pit. The last quarterly suggested a large cutback to the north of zone 2 this involves getting at that high grade. I believe this to be part of the Middle Vale Reef under the pit.

Short term zones can be valued higher than longer term projects as the price can be predicted fairly accurately short term. Newcrest and Newmont need long term price predictions, Telfer couldn’t give them this making it unviable for them.

What Ggp are finding at present is short term projects at high prices, I would expect the West Dome Deeps to be a large project and therefore longer term price predictions will be used this will show that the project can be viable for some years to come.

This AI nonsense is a dangerous tool, flaws all the way through that post.

The ESC will be nowhere near those figures. It’s not one solid body, those high grades are veins flowing through it. The main body is low grade stockwork ore. The average grade will be a lot less than the examples picked out.

I’ve estimated less than 500koz could be as low as 200koz.

We have however been told there could be 2 more of these.

I find AI is unsubstantiated false information, I would not base my investment decision on such waffle.

On bio leaching

Had to change that heading.

There’s a lot of inaccuracies with that AI list.

Bio leaching has been researched for decades and is only suitable for low grade ores less than 0.2%. Needs temperatures 20-30C so is not really suitable for Telfer. Takes a long time maybe years.

The cyanide bio method uses a bacteria to excrete cyanide then used in the gold leaching so that is not good they still have to deal with the cyanide.

50 year mine life at Telfer, the plant could still be there with ore from Havieron, I doubt if there will be anything left at Telfer.

2,500-3,000m deep that won’t happen at Telfer but might at Havieron, ground pressures at that depth are very high the grades would need to be extremely good.

The economic viability would constrain depth working.

Results from First Drill Hole of Current Campaign at Havieron

Greatland announces drill hole HAD005 intersects total mineralisation (combined intercepts) of

275m at 4.77g/t gold and 0.61% copper (275m at 5.75g/t gold equivalent*)

Two wide zones of mineralisation intersected:

118m at 3.08g/t gold and 0.84% copper from 459m (118m at 4.42g/t gold equivalent*),

plus

157m at 6.04g/t gold and 0.44% copper from 660m (157m at 6.75g/t gold equivalent*).

Within that 275m zone are 8.5%, 10.5%, 12%

Kaliranu 40% was surrendered and Antipa applied for that zone

Wilki lake was surrendered after the ground surveys showed no mineralisation. Antipa has applied for it.

Ggp 100% land

Pascalle 40% of the eastern end was surrendered and Antipa have applied for it.

No news on Rudall or the Scallywag licence.

The 2 Canning licences were surrendered .

Woodlands has now 6 licence with all applications approved including the new one south of the Hibernian mine.

Yannarie 5 licences are still in application.

Bromus has been sold

Panorama, Paterson range east, Blackhills north and Blackhills have been sold on certain conditions scheduled for next October.

High gold and copper prices should counter any shortfall in the expected recovery rate drop that Shaun outlined after moving to the copper oxides on Stage 7. The photo one of the analysts took of the blasting was at the top of Stage 7.

What may or may not be in the Quarterly results:-

West Dome Pit:-

Well we know there are 4 drills on this pit area, one of these drills though is a big one for hydrological drilling ie bore holes. One photo we have shows that rig halfway up stage 7 above the West Dome Deeps and can also be seen on another photo in the base of the pit. Other photos shows the other rigs drilling the central potential zone and Stage 7 extension area, this is to close the spacings from past drill holes to convert inferred resources into indicated. They have also been in the base of the pit extending the potential under the current resource.

There’s no other evidence that I’ve seen of those rigs drilling elsewhere but they could have been especially over the extension zones.

Main Dome underground:-

2 underground rigs have been drilling on the ESC , M reefs and A reefs. These have again been infill drilling to convert the inferred resources to indicated and also extend information on the ore body.

These rigs moved during the quarter back to the West Dome Deeps drilling platform.

West Dome Deeps:-

We were informed in an RNS that they would be infill drilling the high grade zone to firm up a resource ( remember they can’t reach a lot of it from there). We were also informed in the February RNS they wanted to test the stockwork underneath the high grade. That for me is very intriguing as that could be a big zone.

Other areas:-

Either ends of Parkland around a dozen pads were drilled there although Antipa have announced only anomalous results. There could be some hope still for us as Goldworm describes the Ggp area as having the “hinge “ of 2 anticlines on that licence and that could act as a conduit for a molten fluid event 🤞

Trotmans (central?) had 6 pads earlier on in the quarter.

Big Tree around 34 pads have been constructed waiting for the drill rig, this is an extension to the existing drilling which has a strike length of over 1km, the new area is also over 1km strike length.

Backdoor/ ironclad recently has added around 8 pads to the north of historical drilling.

Ernest Giles:-

Around 30 pads have been constructed recently and an RC rig has drilled 5 of these as at the last satellite image, maybe this will come in the next quarters update.

Rio jv :-

Chili on Strickland is suppose to be in this quarters drill programme not seen anything yet.

Further survey work was suppose to happen at Atlantis to firm up a drill programme for this half year.

Calypso survey work was also suppose to be in this half year with drill planning.

Teague has 2 new pads recently.

Strickland had a 40% surrender this last half year from the jv .

Telfer Domain was surrendered. Antipa applied for the eastern end of this and Greatland applied for the western end together with the Strickland portion and further area to the west.

Big Tree is described as a Feasibility area , on the west end of it an extension to the Feasibility area.

It sounds as if it has an FS, there are open pit design sections showing estimation blocks, so it certainly looks like it has a Mine plan.

The strike length for that is over 1,000m and the new pads are extending it another 1,000m to the SE.

Big Tree west is further to the west and is also about the same length.

I thought you would like that paper was very detailed, one of the best I’ve read.

With those reefs all having different fluids at different ages the geology and make up is very complex must be a headache for the plant managers.

I’ve read loads of papers recently and are all mixed up in my head but I read the Big Tree is also believed to originate from O’Callaghans.

We are 3 days into the new quarter, this is going to be a major quarter. Drilling pads all over the place around 80 pads so far without either side of Parklands or the West Dome pit drilling.

80 pads that’s phenomenal.

I’m getting a lot of info from it , I’ve read this 3 times now.

O’Callaghans is probably the main source but other granites around would have helped.

Big tree is probably from O’Callaghans as well.

A50 reef has different fluid intrusions than the other reefs ie tungsten and galena obviously this came from O’Callaghans.

There’s some good diagrams of the processing flow sheet of train 1&2 before and after the Jamieson process was installed.

The alterations Shiny bits was proposing is near the end of the process where the 2 trains come together, that would cause a major shutdown to replace those unless they built new stuff.

I’ve been reading scientific papers on Telfer and there’s a really good one on the history of the plant.

The difference in the 2 trains is down to the differing copper ores and not the gold, it depends on the solubility of the ores in the cyanide in leach process. Jamieson process was introduced and train 1 was introduced to cater for copper sulphide ores.

Originally the Havieron ore was going to replace the Telfer sulphides but it’s quite apparent that’s not going to happen.

I will try and find this paper, to me it looks quite possible that the sulphides from the WDD and Main Dome underground will take the slack on train 1 while the pit ore will continue on train 2.

Latest satellite is showing a growing use of the leach pads the pond has nearly doubled in size.

As I keep saying about Havieron ore, it will take precedence over any other ore but if you take more ore than planned already you will start to bring out breccia weakening the head grade.

The high grades are in the sulphide crescent zone, this has set boundaries, the only way to get more high grade ore than planned is to go deeper and that will need a hoist .

The planned stoping sequence will also restrict greater tonnages.

There are high grade breccia pods in the centre of the ore body which could stretch the mine life out further but its weaker grades.

2mt at 3.6g/t is 231,511 oz

2.8mt @ 2.6g/t is 234,083 oz

4mt @ say 2g/t is 257,000 oz

In doubling the tonnage you will not get twice the ounces.
