Looking back over the days news, in hindsight I wish they given shareholders a rights issue enough to cover 2 or 3 months of fees. This would have given the shareholders a chance to increase their holdings , and take the immediate sellers out of the equation. They could even offer a bonus share to not sale any, that effect will help to hold the price. I've seen it before and it has worked.
This would keep the company liquid until the oil starts flowing properly

I've not sold many of mine either but have thought about it a lot. Not all of us are day traders I bet 50% are still down on their investment.
Without Ritson and co we probably wouldn't have invested here and he did try everything Leo is doing i.e. Waterflood, Suriname, south Erin, Innis, Bonasse deal.

You have to think big I'm sure Leo does, he's already found a 400m target whether it is down deep has not been divulged.
The source for Goudron is known to be deep down and has produced 100m barrel reserve in the 3 layers so must be a fair size.
When you compare that to Saffron of only 77m it puts Goudron in a better light although it's older and the pressures are gone , a good water flood will be another game changer.
NR before Leo was planning to pump water from the sea and could take 12 months to produace but was expecting 3,000 per day from memory.
The IPSC tax issue became a liability.
With Saffron revenues 90% instead of 50% at Goudron , Saffron will always take precedent

There are a lot of professional people who have far more knowledge than me writing books,papers, presentations. They know there's a lot of oil deep down under Trinidad that stretches from the East Venezuelan oil field, how far is uncertain.
It can't be dismissed as thin air.
Cerp might not find it but one company will

Just looked back and saw your link worked, very good general write up on the Soldado and SWP.
Liked the bit of underexplored deeper levels holding billions of barrels of heavy oil expecting to produce 100,000bpd for 20 years from the Soldado and 50,000bpd from the sands of the SWP for 20 years.
By deeper levels it says below the Cretaceous source rock levels. Lack of adequate 3D seismics mean little is known of these deep levels.
A lack of geological movement means less faults and bigger reservoirs containing billions of barrels.

There was a presentation I think in 2013 by K Persad which Neil Ritson attended, he was the Bolt man who Cerp acquired the Bonasse license from and he was promoting the idea of deeper reservoirs under Goudron and Bonasse.

The Goudron license at the moment only goes down to 5,000' it doesn't include the deeper rights.
I would expect these rights will be included and Heritage wanting a deep drill to explore these deeper levels.
I will be surprised if they are not included

Chin up mate this crisis is getting to us all.
Depends whether you mean filling Cerp's coffers or fuelling the share price.
Goudron could once again be Cerps money pit, with a revised lease they could turn the taps on again .
Only pilot water floods A&B have been started, C&D could be primed ready.
More water is needed to be pumped in, they could ship tanker loads from Saffron.
Over 100m barrels to target with only 4m targeted at present.
Could ramp up production very quickly.

S1 will be contributing sporadically while testing other zones 3,4&1
News of flow rates will help the sp

News of the CO2 flows will help the sp
Possible sale to Prd due before the September deadline

News of oil in place at WNZ due H2 with a plan of action

I've not found where I can read that page bu there are other write ups in offshore - mag . com
I've not studied the area very much but from that site it describes a bit about the geology under the Brighton Marine 1800-8500' in turburdite sands of the Nariva and run onshore under the Tabaquite field.
Miocene age sands 23m to 5m years ago.
These sands are the same as under Cory Moruga and Trinity Innis where they're classed as Herarra turburdite.
These sands are not the source, that is deeper down.

The difference in the 2 fields is Brighton marine has anticlinal thrust and Innis an anticlinal fold. With a thrust later movement has forced the layers upwards causing heat and faults whereas a fold has been pushed up maybe over and fewer faults. Oil needs faults /traps to form reservoirs or can make its way to the surface and dissipate.

Talking about thrusts and uplifts that's what we have at Saffron and apparently to the west of WNZ. If you look at the last slide of Suriname on the presentation there is a seismic map on the left with red lines up and down these maybe the fault lines from the uplift

There's a big change coming to our high streets, government and councils will want to re invigorate these areas rather than build on green outlying fields.
I believe the big department stores will either be demolished or refurbished into flats with small shops on the ground floors. This will get people back into city centres less need for cars.
More work for builders will result

Good assessment.
Couple of points on slide 9 to the left is the coast Ubot 1 to the north.
It's not that big the fault line runs between the beach and Saffron so most of the existing Bonasse wells are on the wrong side of the fault.
The license doesn't extend out to sea it's with the landowner not Heritage.
On slide 10 Ubot 1 is in the blue water zone. The black line is the fault line between Saffron and the beach.
The oil is migrating towards Saffron so there's no need for a big acreage .
The license runs to 2046 but a 10 year plan to retrieve 11.5m would mean 3150 barrels per day by x number of wells.
If 3150 or greater then only S2 will be needed
1600 = 2 wells
800 = 4 wells
The greater the flow from S2 will determine the Lower Cruse plan and less Capex and more profit.
The MC is different 60 wells planned in about 10 clusters and that's only zone 2 and they all need to be on the Saffron side of the fault.
It's going to be a bit busy :)))))))

I do like geological stuff so miners and oilies use the same survey equipment and sectional 3d geometrics.
I thought that young chap had a great presentation skill much better than I could get over, I could do with him helping me out with Cerp in Suriname.

I agree with Tom that Ggp is a great share however my oil play presentation was impressive last week, very happy, if it gets to what i think it will, might eclipse Ggp if oil prices stabilise but still high risk.
That young lads presentation was commendable somebody is going to snap him up. I followed it most of the way, I've got some questions for him but no good posting on that board too many posts, so going to e mail him

The Herarra oil reserves under Trinidad are at deep levels, most likely Jurassic age about 150m years old.
A deep well on the SWP was drilled some time ago FRM-1 this encountered the Lower Cruse at 10,000' and didn't get to the Herarra at 14,000'.
The question at Saffron has the Herarra layer been lifted by the mud volcano as well, as it looks to me that the volcano is younger than the Lower Cruse and Herarra forcing them upwards.
The Herarra could be at about 8,000' below sea level, one for the future but would be easier than at FRM-1

Oil origins in the Venezuelan, Guyana & Suriname basins started forming in the Jurassic period 150m years ago. At this time Trinidad was closer to Florida than Suriname, and the Caribbean and North Atlantic were a lot smaller than today. Africa and South America were one continent and North America was moving away westwards.
This was the start of the oil fields stretching from Venezuela to Guyana. These fields were gradually covered over with alluvial deposits and are the fields at very deep levels in Trinidad.
About 120m years ago Southern Africa and Southern America started pulling apart , pivoting around Suriname and caused huge forces creating many faults, traps, canyons, thermal forces. The next generation of oil was being formed at this time and 90m years ago Africa had split forming a large channel off the coast of Suriname/ west coast of Africa. This channel was being filled continually with sedimentary deposits covering the source rock with deposits. A big rift had formed to the east of Guayana causing many faults/traps .
The early Jurassic oil had now migrated and been trapped under the Taradejo field in Suriname in the numerous faults, whereas the second generation oil formed in the new waters between Africa/S America. This oilfield was gradually split in 2 off the coasts of Suriname and the west coast of Africa with little on land.

WNZ field has had minor drilling and 2d surveys so little is known, but it is riddled with faults and traps. Any oil is not likely to be connected as it migrated from way down and got trapped
The field is going to need a lot more 2d and 3D surveys to find these traps.
There will probably be less opportunities to find secondary oil.
The forthcoming drilling and EWT will give more insight into the geology of Suriname and WNZ
The oil in WNZ has an API of 16 and is a sweet heavy oil with a low sulphur content

That's the first open offer I've seen in this crisis it looks good provisionally 25m already taken. I very rarely turn one down although I had to with IKA price was too high.
Last open offer I took up was Itm at 40p now £1.64
I will be buying more Cost on Monday
