By the way Drill Had010 was our only complete dud, it went straight down through the Dyke and they stopped probably burnt out all the drill bits it’s that hard and brittle

Yes I have done some rough 3D sketches of the historical drills and Had 001 to 010.
Also a rough 3D sketch of the EB feeding the NC.
It’s not possible to compare Had 1-5 with 117W6 as cut offs were not used therefore Had117W6 wins hands down.

What can be compared is the third historical drill with 117W2&3 “no significant assays” they found the weak spot at the top of the ore body that I mentioned was there ages ago and it’s where that historical drill went vertically through it.
It’s in the centre of the crescent either side of the Dyke.
The easiest way to explain what’s happening with the crackle is in the first instance heat and pressures formed the crackle breccia throughout the pipe in the first intrusion.

A second/third intrusions coming from the EB changed the crackle and the cemented breccia was formed these only reached the top of the ore body in a few spots. This left most of the weak crackle at the top and down the NW sides.
The sulphides were a separate intrusion forming the ovoid ring.
That’s my take on what’s happened but it’s a very complex issue and I will probably be proved incorrect.

Drill testing just means drilling the ore body.
4 or 5 holes into an interpreted 600m long orebody is not a lot to give a definitive answer. We are back in time of Had005 we knew it was good but how good we had no clues.
These few drills have only gone into the top layer and they are tremendous lengths 342m @ 2g/t and the latest 210m @1.5g/t from memory. This looks magical sat next to Havieron.
Havieron a once or twice generational find , what does the Eastern Breccia looks like it’s going to be?

Interpretation is going to take a long time it’s so deep, stretching the drill teams according to Callum hitting a shoe box size target at those depths.
I’ve seen some of the discussions on the geology, I’m following must of it, my theory of feeding the Northern corridor hasn’t been disproved yet but anything is possible with Havieron.
Just remember the EB are deep and we’ve only scratched the surface.

Well we’ve had 2 really great pieces of news recently, what do I make of our situation at this point in time?
The PFS has kicked start the Starter Mine into action, not big numbers to begin with but these numbers will translate into a high enough revenue to pay for the ongoing mine development.
This will be like having a free ride!
I can’t say I’m enthusiastic on the mine plan of stoping the SE side of the Dyke, this has caused large additional costs in mine development and the need for time consuming backfilling with paste.
That being said the benefit will be leaving the Dyke in place which could have been more expensive to remove.

The results night was full of good news and I still haven’t digested everything within it.
My take on the SE crescent deeps is one of excitement.
Looking at the plan and sections they don’t look as though they reflect the results, by that I mean the best drill we’ve had is shown in a thin section of the sulphides in the 3rd mining zone but the results show it to be a lot wider. Expect upgrades here at that level but also lower down on the 4th zone drills here are finding big widths in the sulphides.
That is for both sides of the Dyke.

My theory of the Eastern Breccia feeding the Northern Breccia has been put in question by rhetoric of the EB being a separate NE trending system. To me it still looks plausible, this separate system could still be feeding the NC , the high grade pods within the EB are very similar in size and grades to the pods in the NC.

The SE extension found by drill 90W1 has not been discussed and missed by Liam and Stu on the results show, to me it’s exciting even though the grades were average c0.6 g/t.
The size of this extension fits in very well with my lower ovoid theory. There is one intercept that can be seen on 90W1 right near the end of the drill it’s nearly 200m away from the crescent.

I am certainly still holding and keep topping up every month and did so yesterday, can’t help myself:))

Every 6-30m of drilling they put a down hole survey tool in hole to check for positioning to see if they are on target.
These surveys trace the positioning and depths during the drill and logged on the data system as they go.
The black lines are the reported drills
The dark grey are the new drills in assays
The light grey lines are older drills still in assay.

There have been plenty of partial drills, some are extensions to an old drill testing the boundaries or further mineralisation identified by downhole instruments after the drill has finished.

In the September report there was one extension with no significant assay but it went a further 100m outside the SE crescent boundary , looks like testing the ground for the stoping tunnels

How Havieron has developed is very complex and over a vast timescale and geology academics are debating this subject.
I can only say what I see from drill logs and from these the Eastern breccia certainly looks like it’s feeding the central northern corridor.
It’s a separate intrusion to the one that caused the crackle breccia.
As for being a separate ore body I don’t think that’s the case , being fused together would be a simple way of explaining it.
The few drills into the Eastern breccia have only protruded into the top of it, the true extent of this could be years away due to the depths and drilling will need to be undertaken from inside a Decline.
The copper is weakening further down, if there is nickel lower down then you would normally expect little copper .
Where they have obtained the nickel information, I’m finding hard to think which drill it came from .
It feels like Had 84 but that was shallower than 141 or it may have come from 90W1 but that’s not in the EB

I’m still jumping up and down about a weaker grade drill Had90AW1. I kept prompting Stu and Liam and they never mentioned it.
Our deepest hole 1,808m true depth in the SE extension at least 200m from the crescent.
2 intercepts 48.6m @ 0.68g/t and 37@0.57 but there’s another one not reported further out.

Drill 141 in the Eastern breccia was our last deepest drill at 1803m true depth.
The extension 141W1 still in assay is higher up.

From what I’ve seen my lower ovoid theory looks sound.
My belief that the Eastern breccia is feeding the central northern corridor still looks probable.

117W6 tremendous maybe best ever drill intercept.

Juri jv bit disappointing for Goliath but from what I can see they’ve only discounted Tier 1 discoveries, they’re still intending to send survey teams back.
Only one or two holes is still too early.

The astonishing drill 117W6 is in the third mining front ending at 784m true depth

They’re saying it’s a separate system it certainly doesn’t look like it from the intercepts . They’re joining to form one bigger system.
It’s certainly not a rectangle:))

I’m still looking at 90W1 on page 9 plan there’s a intercept not mentioned but it’s way out passed that big A it’s way out.

I sent you some info on the Bismuth I don’t know whether you could understand it but it has a detrimental effect on the copper concentrate and charged as a debit from the smelters.
I believe the grade has to be around 0.3%-0.4% to be acceptable in the concentrate.
If it gets to 0.6% to 0.8% they have to weaken it by mixing other copper concentrate maybe from Telfer to reduce % content.
There’s a bit in the PFS RNS about it saying they have to do selective mining.
The bismuth is mainly in the sulphides but also found in the Chalcopyrites

The obvious place to drill the SE deeps is from the Northern pads not as far out as what Paddy is showing.
They pass through the ore body before they get to the SE deeps
If they came from the south or east they will travel through country rock , from the west would be too far.
Expect far more from the north

Telfer:
Other than a very small amount in FY24, from FY24 onwards the production profiles in this release and the Havieron PFS release show Havieron feed only and do not include ongoing ore feed from Telfer. There is potential for other ore sources at or near Telfer to supplement the Havieron ore feed in FY24 and beyond.
Newcrest remains focused on extending the Telfer mines’ current life beyond FY24. Building on the recent commencement of the West Dome Stage 5 cutback, further Open Pit extensional opportunities are being assessed.
In addition, a number of near mine extensional underground targets are being drilled. There is also work underway to test whether there is a potential caving opportunity for a lower grade stockwork area between the existing sublevel cave and the Western Flanks mine area. Specific areas of interest include:
•an extension of West Dome Stage 5 towards the east and at depth.
• other potential incremental cutbacks in the West Dome pit.
•diamond drilling to extend existing mine areas around the M-Reefs and A-Reefs.
•drilling the area around the recently identified Lower Limey Unit South East mineralisation to further extend the resource and reserve.
• assessment of a stockwork target area known as “Kylo” for potential cave mining.
•drilling of the Vertical Stockwork Corridor below the current sub-level caving operation to determine
amenability to bulk underground mining methodologies.

Financial capability

Newcrest has exploration farm-ins and joint ventures with parties who have prospective tenements proximate to Telfer, namely the Wilki Project (with Antipa Minerals) and the Juri Juri JV (with Greatland Gold), in respect of which an exploration programme is in progress.
