I believe I asked that question about the Jimmy vote and Shaun mentioned Van Eck.
That was the meeting where he joked about the PI’s selling and caused a stir as actually it was Van Eck who had sold.
In the presentation beforehand one slide shows the top 10 shareholders, 9 of which are nominee accounts ( where our shares are)
8 out of 9 of those accounts had risen, which is why I questioned Shaun’s remark

This question about vote was asked to Shaun after that vote, and the vote against was by 1 or more institutional holders.
It was not a personal attack it was a governance factor that institutions do not like.
I can’t remember what that reason was, perhaps someone else can who attended?

Before the London meeting though we have the popular Stroud event next Monday.
I always look forward to that one, very easy to find off junction 13 of M5 about 2 or 3 minutes from there.
It’s where I sat opposite a chap having our meals, and we started talking realising he lives 100yards from me around the corner.
We went by train to London 4 times last year, we enjoyed every time, met some really interesting people.
Last time I went I was talking to Condorlini for quite some time.
Must spend more time listening to Shaun this time, it’s in the bigger room , there was so much noise in that small room was difficult to hear Shaun.
I had to keep asking MF of any news :))

Seems to be a fair few from the Stroud gang going to London :))

I’m still intending to go to Cheshire Cheese first.
Starting out about 11.20 so will need grub , although the burger was frozen time before last but all the table got free chips :))
If I miss the online Q&A can watch it later.
With nobody being able to stop Shaun talking and the venue turning the lights out on us there will be no time for pub afterwards.
4 times I’ve nearly missed the last train home , great fun :))

Take note of the Tanami mine in NW Australia
Similar to Havieron but a little in advance of infrastructure work.
They had a bottleneck in mining operations and decided to install a hoist which they have about 50% complete.
“We also continue to progress the expansion at Tanami. Overall progress is now at 50% with engineering and procurement effectively complete, protecting the project from any new inflationary or supply chain challenges in the coming years. 373 meters of concrete lining has now been installed in the upper part of the 1,500 meter deep shaft, and this furnishing of the shaft continues to be the critical path work for the project. Underground development for the project has largely been completed with crusher and conveyor chambers, all fully excavated and ready for construction of infrastructure to commence.”
If Newmont takeover NCM that’s what will happen with Havieron.
The Decline at Havieron will be able to get out 3mt of ore.
A bottleneck might/will occur with the continued advance of the Decline.
Question is how will the 2 operations continue together?
A hoist down to about 1000m would cater for the the top 600m of ore removal.
Trucking though through the Decline initially will pay for the capex of a hoist.
10mt per annum of ore could then be achieved

If the drilling logs are anything like the Blackhills latest results they are paying to test for all the pathfinder elements as at A27.
These tests take time.
A27 was tested over 400+m every metre for over 10 elements
400x10 =4000+ tests
If there were 2 drills that is 8000 tests

What do these mean?

Total mineral resource is the amount covered by a cut off grade of 0.2% cueq
Indicated resource has a cut off of 0.45% cueq

The indicated resource is deemed to be economically viable.
222mt has not changed much

This updated Mineral Resource represents a 19% increase in tonnage, no change in copper grade, a 12% increase in gold grade, a 19% increase in contained copper metal and a 33% increase in contained gold metal. The updated Mineral Resource is supported by the advancement of mining and processing studies and additional drilling information acquired since the release of the Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource published in the 2021 Rio Tinto Annual Report. There are no Ore Reserves reported for Winu.



Winu continues to advance agreement making with host Traditional Owners, the Martu and Nyangumarta. Planned drilling, fieldwork and study activities continue to strengthen the development pathway ahead of applications for regulatory and other required approvals. ”

That’s probably quashed any rumours that Rio will sell Winu
No reserves reported though so still way behind Havieron
