I believe Tricky suggested that a 'No' deal would not impact TRMR's SP (much). But the same doesn't go for the rest of the FTSE.
Masses amounts of uncertainty usually equates to a volatile market. Which could remain twitchy into next year and spoil the Festive seaon for stockbrokers & investors. TRMR IMO wouldn't be immune if the negativity is prolonged & significant...dragged down by the general market. But assuming they can keep delivering strong figures the SP should bounce back fairly soon.

Other stocks could take a hammering. It's all about the risk & costs imposed on a business by an 'Aussie' deal.

Tricky, we have left the club...we are ex-members of the EU. But if we want even limited access to some of the facilities of our former club we will have to abide by their rules.

Otherwise we can play elsewhere!....simples.

Our complaining about the rules is irrelevant...we have handed in our membership card & no longer have a say in defining those rules.

The 'easiest deal in history' was a fantasy (IMO). The 'club' were always going to impose tough rules on ex-members who want to access the single market, for why remain a member if they allowed the UK free unfettered access?
But I suppose some people believed 'the easiest/oven ready' deal rhetoric. But some people will believe anything!!

Listening to one commentator today who said that 'some' EU countries may be willing to allow a 'No' deal (oops again!!...sorry, 'Aussie' deal) because it would allow the UK people to see what is actually involved, when certain products aren't available in the same quantity or to the same quality. Perhaps people in the UK might then question the sense of a WTO deal and demand that we come to a deal later in 2021 or 2022.
Obviously the French may want to rub salt into the wound & be extra scrupulous in their lorry inspections (in their search for illegal immigrants of course!!) causing even longer delays at Channel ports. Those dastardly Frogs!!

Hopefully the grownup people - not sure we have many in UK government - will prevail and a sensible & fair deal can be agreed. But for some reason there are some - on both sides apparently - who want to fight windmills. Very bad for business IMO.

I'm still expecting a deal although it may be very thin...almost a pretend deal, with the tricky stuff to work out later.

So we have 'invested' billions in Brexit in order to get cheap fish to go with our chips?.....yeah, I get that!!

I wonder when Boris drives a car if he gets stuck at roundabouts, unable to decide which exit to take!! Having got rid of his driver - Cummings - I wonder who is steering the Boris car now?! Hopefully they know where they want to go.

Williamson & Rees-Mogg have shown themselves to be childish clowns in their recent comments.

As I said before, we need 'grown ups' in the room who can secure a deal for businesses across the four nations of the UK. With clowns like these in government it is extremely worrying.

Tricky, the UK is no longer a 'member state'.....hasn't been one for most of this year. Brexit is done. But we do need some sort of a deal. The stock market is expecting a deal....in a matter of days probably. If there isn't a deal then the UK stockmarket could take a hit.
But personally I'm expecting a deal....it is difficult to see why they wouldn't have a deal, even if it's a very thin deal.
But we have already left the EU. We are ex-members, we have departed...taken the door marked exit. Paid the divorce bill and left the club.

'Best' we can hope for short term is a good working/trading relationship with the EU and reasonable access to the single market.

A 'No' deal is bad for business & the UK stock market (short term again). Hopefully the people in charge can be grown up and come a deal that is beneficial to both sides - on the understanding that there can never be a Brexit deal that is as good as being an EU member state....a sort of a 'better than nothing' deal!!

I was expecting some news on a Brexit deal this week...time is running out. Hard to call this one. Boris doesn't want to be seen to cave into the EU demands but he also doesn't want to cause extra damage to the economy to that already caused by the pandemic. Idealism versus pragmatism....hard to see which will win out.
A deal should cement the gains we have seen recently in the FTSE....a 'No' deal (oops, sorry Austraaaliaaan deal!!!) would cause a lot of uncertainty. Sure, we will be certain that we can trade under 'Australian' rules (!!!) but the uncertainty of how we trade with the EU will be immense and business uncertainty will go through the roof. And of course the chance of securing a trade deal with the USA under Biden will shrink commensurately from 'yeah maybe!' to 'you must be joking!!'

Interesting times...which way will Boris jump? Like herding frogs!
