A Doctor shorting a medical diagnostic company -it's shocking! Shouldn't there be law against that? Novacyte is working with the NHS and WHO etc. Surely there are other stocks for that?

They are sitting on a massive paper gain and most of it is since the start of this year only! Most Investor would recoup at least the initial stake. It would free up money to reinvest elsewhere.
Takeovers are never guaranteed and/or the timescale. But perhaps they understand the investment in GGP better than us.

Haven't Prim said they believe a takeover for GGP will happen and they are not selling any until then? Seem very confident.

I'm down as well but more concerned about how the business is doing rather than short term share price movements. This is Buffets approach hence why he sold out of airlines completely even though the share prices have recovered from lows.
All indications are business is on track here so I'm happy to hold.

If private equity made a bid then sat it out and used cash on balance sheet to support companies for next 2-3 years until full value realised they would make a killing over these low prices. Imo Dyor.

Even a 60% upside from these levels will be a good return imo the way markets are at inflated levels. This is a value play where the sum of the parts is worth more potentially. Just a bit disappointed never got more under 30p due to lack of funds at time.

Yes he has been very active in his posts for someone who says he is not invested. Also the earlier post referred to by VanV he mentions that aim is a difficult market to read and he has been making predictions all day for the share price lol. Also says he likes to buy and hold and not daytrade but has seemingly sold out of this one and Avacta pretty quickly not much of a buy and hold.

Apologies if this has been posted in the past I'm still learning about the company. Transformation has been mentioned. The company has always had the ambition to do more as shown by past awards. Historically I believe it has been rated on several multiples of turnover (I'm not talking about more recent share price history). It will now have the money to fulfill its ambitions through organic growth (it is known throughout the world in a much bigger way than before so can cross sell) and acquisitions. As has been said this is the start of the journey imo. Dyor.

Why are some of the other diagnostic stocks still up or holding up? You say there is no second waves (too early for that conclusion) and this is hurting NCYT.No second wave will affect them more as they do no have a product yet.

End of April the figure was £90 million. A month later it's gone up to £120 million. Are these not impressive results? And what were the figures for the earlier months? Does this not show exponential growth? Is Africa not an important market and sales are sales wherever they are made. Dyor.

Just googled this and it's quite interesting as the instant test result brigade keep talking about the wonders of instant tests but they have issues and hurdles to overcome.

I have sve and prim happy with merits of both - if you're are more bullish on gold price then sve as they are mostly precious metals etc invested but if want to diversify into non gold holdings then prim offers that but still with a sizeable ggp holding.

Maxcyte seems a low risk way to gain entry into the success of others drugs pipeline and collect milestones and royalties along the way all simply by licensing its own equipment and achieving sales of equipment and consumables. The companies themselves fund the trials.
Accepted it's not a covid stock and more long term.

I got some Prim also this morning. Never heard of it before now! Good research can improve your returns but it's having the time to when you have a full time job.

I like the other holdings in Prim and that's why I have bought.
