@esduk – Bamps had two nights’ sleep between his posts and slicing off. I feel he got it wrong by posting about his sells, followed by potential issues with the outputs.

At the end of the day, everyone is human. I think he was concerned about the impact of the weather and decided to sell a few. I’m fairly sure he expects a drop and an opportunity to buy back in.

I also don’t think this blip will cause a major issue to the SP until outputs are formally announced. A lot of funds are looking to buy this. Aussies understand the weather in Oz better than those of us in the UK, and we saw what happened last night on the ASX.

Everyone has a strategy, and this was Bamps’. That said, I don’t think people should let someone else’s investment decisions influence their own, however influential they might be. Fund managers don’t make decisions based on forum posts or Facebook news.

Guys, Bamps announcing having sold or lower output shouldn't make a difference for you. If it does, you should make Bamps as your fund manager.

The SP wouldn't make much difference with few PI's selling holding. All I can say is that we will end up over 525 by close and most of those who sold wont be able to get in again at a lower price.

Agreed - announcing is sell is not a problem but for a negative reason is not a fair thing - what is bamps trying to achieve here, saving all the investors from a loss...? ummmm

I feel the rise up wont be linear as a lot of LTH are sitting on profit and have an exit strategy at different SP's. 480p is equivalent to 24p in old value. Next 500p is expected to have signifact block, next wll be 540p, 550p and around 600p.

Unless there is significant institutional buying in a short time, the progress will be slow around each 20p rises.

True, lots of Ifs and Buts, which no one can predict. What happens if there is a sudden tsunami or an earthquake with Paterson region as an epicentre or Trump's mates are not happy with their arms sales and he initiates WWIII tomorrow. You can only plan to a certain extent based on the probablity.

No one has a crystal ball but some people have a lot of time to discuss hypothetical situations.

Opened at $9.15.. went up to $9.31 just under 1.4% down.

GDX.US lists of holdings following today's rebalancing is not published on their website yet.. it will be updated on Monday. Same for ASX where I expect the holding % rise for GGP.

So there is still a possibility that GGP would have been added to the list. All stocks are not forward purchased or before close on Friday, can roll over to Monday. That is what I am hoping.

0.36% is forward buying on Thursday. Based on the sp, there was additional biying last night at ASX and we will have updated numbers on their website for 12 Dec at 3 pm Sydney time next working day. So we would know more on Monday..

Just managed to find, there is a seperate GDX fund for the US market - updated on 12/10/2025 (assuming US date format as 10 Dec) though

Last time, GGP.LON was included in GDXJ US fund. Hoping that entry later today.

Please note, the holdings for the Aussie fund was updated on 11 Dec, so there might be further increase in holding following SP movement on ASX last night.

MCAP @ £5will be around £3.3bn

MCAP @ £6 will be around £4bn

I reckon this is GDX buying. Perhaps in both markets (LSE and ASX) to fill the large order.

I remember seeing this kind of the trend when GGP entered GDXJ 5 years ago - and the SP was somewhat similar in old money - A Friday afterclose bump from 24p to 27p at that time. Since then, I have noted a sustained rise around GDXJ rebranding period rather than a sudden shot up on Fridays.

Anyway, we would know today if GDX is the factor influencing the rise.

I would thank ASX for the SP movement today. It looks like the two markets are trying to match each other and today's downfall was drive by ASX. I have seen worse news on GGP before, without such type of extreme reaction on the SP - Have been here since 2014.

Remember, the gold is still there !!!! and more is expected!!!

SD might be in shock following SP reaction - with so much money in the bank, production ongoing - for years..!, you dont expect to wipe out 1/4 of your MCAP.. I am not an expert in this, but I have seen really bad updates than this from companies and not this type of reaction on SP. This is a great buying opportunity - look at the P/E for GGP based on today's announcment itself..

Added about £10k worth.. this will bounce back.. headlines don't read that bad, expectation were a lot higher triggering a drop
