My reason for saying 70p is that where the low was before all the bid speculation.
If bids failed to materialise now, there would be no upside hope and all the shorters, algos, etc. would really get to work. Plus all the recent buys would be cutting their positions with absolutely no fresh buyers coming in. No one would want to catch this falling knife. It would get very messy. I’d be amazed if 70p would be the low.
Obviously this is a doomsday scenario. Consequently I (and others) would welcome an (admittedly opportunistic) bid.

I keep explaining the drop! The two current bids are flakey, at best, and its a long way down if nothing else appears!

As long as all the LTHs who keep bleating on about the fact that a rerating is happening and if no bid materialises, THG share price will march on up to £5 where it belongs, that if the bids dont materialise, this goes quickly down to 70p (at best) and stays there for many years.
IIs realise this too, which is why the price isnt galloping away. Also it is why they will accept £2 - £2.50 and all the starry eyed posters will eventually come to this conclusion too.

This was in the 120s before the bids.
People clearly dont believe the bids.
Also, maximum take out price is now 225-250, without bids, back to 70 (at best)
Hence, we're 120-140 till something gives.

Unless there’s a bidding war. But PE are opportunistic. They look for bargains. They don’t then pay up.

I have followed Richard Griffiths for a number of years now.

This no longer moves with the market. Friday it was up because it was a bid situation. Since then it has drifted lower because more and more people doubt the validity of the bids so far.
If another (proper) bid comes in, it will go higher, whether the market is up that day or down.
Before anyone asks, by proper, I mean from someone other than MM’s cronies.

Boo, ASOS, were all up yesterday. And THG were down.
