I agree with what you say. Perhaps not with your unfriendly tone.
I know that sentiment can change on a sixpence and I’m missing the big long term picture.
You and I will have to disagree on Bitcoin though.
I have said it’s going to zero since I first started following it at $30, all the way up to 65k. Never changed my view.

You’re right in saying we’re in uncharted territory.
But you can still have technical support and resistance levels.
Such as Fibonacci, etc.
Not saying his levels are right or wrong. They seem to have been plucked out of thin air.

I do feel that those that keep banging on about “THG IPO price was £5 and they have beaten targets” are similar to people I have spoken to this weekend who bought Bitcoin at 50-60k as a hedge against inflation, saying inflation is higher than we thought, Bitcoin should be 70k.
The world has changed. 170-200 is a great bid. That’s why the shares are down here. The BOD are alone in thinking it’s worth more.

The main reason the SP was down yesterday had nothing to do with BOO or ASOS.
It was a technical position, leveraged buyers who bought for the bid hoping for a bid battle, were forced sellers when their margins ran out.
Most selling done!
Today there's obviously still an overhang.
There is no point in keep on comparing THG to BOO at the moment.
There was big vol yday and again today, so I would imagine we're near the end of the selling, and mostly went into safe hands.
A few steady days should bring in the buyers, when they realise that they are no longer catching a falling knife.

I doubt if they will go for premium listing.
More stringent reporting, more scrutiny.
Not things that THG like or are good at.

With the stock at 80p (whatever size the free float)
nobody will bid more than 180p

One up day (and the days not over) and £2, £2.50, £3 is once again being talked about.

Along the lines of "shares got oversold after bidders told to F off for undervaluing wonderful prospects".
Instead of "Closed the week heavily down after bidders pulled out due to possibly dodgy BOD motives"

I think a couple of RNSs with director buying, looking to seek shareholder approval for share buyback. Etc.
Would add 10p to the share price. Then this would highlight the cheapness of the shares. Others would follow suit and we'd be back over £1 in no time.

You make some valid points.
But I cant see how a few small overleveraged PIs selling stock that is being snapped up by the big boys has driven the price down so far.

I’m concerned that tomorrow will be more of the same.
Algo selling. Margin selling. Panic selling. And repeat.

I think its quite bold of them to categorically reject two possible bids.
It makes me think that other things are going on?
Another bid maybe? Or MM still going ahead with taking private plans?
Also, I think downside now fairly limited, once all the cutting of nasty bid hopefuls is out the way. The RNS said things are going ok with the business.
17.5 m have traded, presumably, hot money getting out and steady sensible money getting in.

Up until today a vast majority of posters felt that both the bids would come to nothing.
MM would let them lapse, then put a bid in of his own, and it would look good.
Do we still think that? If not, why not? Whats changed?
