Very disappointing.
No mention of fresh bids anywhere.
The only article is Oliver Shah saying that he doubts very much if the Candy bid is genuine.
If no other bids materialise soon, the share price goes right back down.
I think all the pie in the sky valuations of £2.50+ are exactly that!!!!
Who else is getting nervous?

Those are my exact sentiments but I am not as eloquent as you.
But you have summed up my thoughts exactly.
All the LTHs who are long much higher up, who keep talking about how the share price was once £8 and fair value should be 10X revenue, etc. will have to eventually realise that all that is completely irrelevant to where we are now. MM takes this private for £2.50!

It makes a pleasant change to read a well thought out, relevant, coherent post.
Most the posts recently bleat on about how some company was sold for X times revenue, a few years back, which makes our fair value £8-£12 and we should hold out for at least that.We IPO’d for X amount. Blah blah blah

I think Fridays fall was just a few nervous longs getting out before weekend. People maybe thought it would have another squeezy day. When that didn’t happen, they decided to take their chips off the table. They’ll be back again next week.
Also, it had had a huge run, Wednesday and Thursday.

I personally think that maximum upside is 250p
(ie £1 profit) for longs.
Downside? 50-70p (ie about £1 loss) for shorts.
Chance of either 70/30 that a bid actually materialises.
Consequently, fill your boots!!!
But it’s NOT a no brainer!!!!

There is nothing wrong with pointing out both scenarios. This is a discussion forum. Obviously, if the bids are pulled, the price will collapse and obviously, if the bids improve, the price will go higher. But when the downside is pointed out here, most people get offensive, abusive, go into denial, delusional, etc.

So far, it Fan-£2.50-Dabadoo.

I expect Candy to firm up his bid. Probably 180p. Maybe even 200p. Possibly we might hear something this weekend. Belerion, will fall by the wayside. They’re opportunistic and won’t pay up. Hoping that someone new steps up to the plate. If not, MM’s bid to take private will be low 200s. If they do, MM will trump them, possibly even as high as 250p.
If Candy and Belerion let their bids lapse, it’s straight back down we go.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for news this weekend.
We moved up (overall this week) on big volume, so hopefully someone knows something good is imminent.

Not sure what I’ve done to upset some people.
I’m a shareholder. I’m not a shorter or a deramper.
I think the shares are going up. I’m extremely bullish. I just don’t think they’re going up quite as much as others. Although, as mentioned, I’d love to be proven wrong.

If I air my view that I think this will eventually go for 250 I get skated. If I were to predict a (clearly unrealistic) take out price of £8+, I would be lauded by the likes of anna**** and his cronies.

Anna****, Unfortunately, we all know that is true.
That is why the share price isnt higher.
Until proper bids come in, of course.

It is my, stated, view that bids from opportunistic PE will come in at 180-220, and MM will trump them all with a 240-250 bid to take private. Anything more is wishful thinking.
I, obviously, dont know for certain and I, obviously, would love it to be higher.
Thats just my opinion, I shouldnt be maligned for sharing it on a public forum, which has been set up specifically for that reason.
