Martin seems quite well connected to the investment community, seems to be friends with 'The Mooch' and his son was a CFO/ President at Man Group. I would trust SMS to know which would provide more bang for buck divi or significant buy back.

Of course there is an imparement, it will be non- cash so its only an accounting figure. The goodwill figure here is large and as we all now know SMS paid a lot for some of the acquisitions as times were better then. Good job they were half cash half share deals.
