I see the link already on social media tonight and fully expect it to be widely shared.
I think the recent MS-rekated appointments (Tyler and Kyle) show that DA are very much aligned with MS. Even if there is no MS buyout of DA, I'm happy to see DA as an IoT security global leader aligned with MS, a company making multiple billions per quarter through IoT alone.
Barnetpeter, I really can't argue with that on any level. Too many false dawns here over the years. I'm holding the lot anyway, even though they've only just come back into profit/break even territory, simply because there are several factors pointing towards an actual dawn on the horizon. GLA, let's see what comes along.
Agreed, II buying is done strategically, and it makes sense now more than ever for it to be underway considering the investee progress Tern have seen over the last year or so. Low mcap will rule out certain funds from buying but that's just something to look forward to when it hits £50m, £100m.
As for the shorts, I wish ill on nobody but there are consequences to one's actions and this share has been subjected to a consistent onslaught of venom from traders playing the channels. I look forward to that play becoming obsolete in hopefully not too long. GLA
As we had the biggest volume day in Tern's history recently, it stands to reason that whoever is building a stake will be patient in letting retail get bored. Sophisticated investors won't chase the price up, they know that the emotions of your average AIM punter kick in soon enough when the next rainbow appears. And that's the way to fill an order.
I think it's naive to assume DA will achieve a valuation based on revenue. Any purchaser will be buying it strategically. If it's Msft, it will be because they need the scale of onboarding/provisioning for Azure/Sphere. That's worth a lot more than DA revenue to them, and that's why I expect the sake price to be in billions rather than hundreds of millions.
Mortgagefreeman (love the name), in all honesty it would do me, I would also be in huge profit at that point. I can see tern testing the 85-105p region in the next month or so though, so happy to let it run up. I've been wrong in the past, of course. But in my defence, I don't need to work and I'm certainly not old.
Swanny27, 85p is not derived from any kind of technical analysis, I am purely a value investor. I buy value and wait as long as I must to realise my gains. At 85p I will have many bags of my initial investment, and therefore I will take half off at that price (there or thereabouts). That will leave me with roughly the holding I had accumulated in early 2018 which can run for 3-5 years, assuming no catastrophic game change.
I've not been a regular poster on here (or on any share for that matter) but I've been monitoring Tern since 2016. I did make a lot of money on 2018, but ended up buying back in earlier than necessary. However, I have held what bought back and continued to gather. I now have double the holding I had in spring 2018, and I will be holding on for a lot higher sell point than I did back then too. Something is different, I will hold on to a core for the long run but aim to take half off the table at 85p. GLAH
Good evening
I've had a glimpse at the document regarding the EGM, not too enthusiastic about digesting an 80 page file right now though.
Are there any ramifications for the migration? I hold all my eqt in an ISA, so I don't foresee any issues for me. I noticed there will be changed to the articles of association but I haven't found what they are yet. Any opinions?
