Genesis is the name under which Primerdesign sell the nCov test kits, amongst others. If you have a look here, the purchase options available are clear. It also offers a price per test. I believe this has caused confusion, although I don't know why.

A research lab will not order one test. They will be developing a vaccine, or processing live samples. One test is not a realistic order quantity. If you look at the prices, there are options at both £262 and £693. You are welcome to make further calculations and hypotheses bas you see fit.

It's dated 27th Jan. At that point, none were available.

The number of infections is nothing compared to the number of tests used by even one vaccine development project. Now multiply that by the number of research labs that want the glory. I'm holding for as long as it takes. I will add when the soft money is out.
