We have had excellent progress re funding, manufacturing facilities, partnerships and the political climate, but it all counts for nowt if we don't sell anything. So far our only sale is to a vanity project as a one off.

We need news of commercial traction soon. For what it is worth, i think we will get it. But I also still think that the solid cell and Alkamem will be our salvation going forwards.

Bananaman, I think I stated clearly that the 200 MW was the capacity they are developing with Bosch.

Whether the licensing route is favourable or not, only time will tell.

As you point out, the upside potential to AFC is notable.

Interesting comparison from Ceres' RNS this morning.

Ceres is looking to 200MW per annum capacity by 2024 with Bosch.

The AFC RNS re scale up of manufacturing quoted exactly the same potential 200 MW per annum dependent upon the solid cell being developed as planned in 2022.

Ceres has identified its target markets as exactly the same as AFC's. So by 2024 they should have identical capacity. The "only" major difference is that the ceres cell is developed, whereas AFC need to get on with this. However, presuming they are successful, the MCap gap between AFC and Ceres looks rather untenable.

I wonder which system is the better....both quote high efficiency (85% for ceres, which will include heat), Ceres runs on biogas and natural gas. Less good without pure H2.

So there is good reason for our MCap to begin a re-alignment, and of course this does not factor in Alkamem......

I agree that in the past AFC has been too small and too R&D focussed.

For me what is changing is that the social and political agenda is pushing us ever more quickly towards a non fossil fuel-based economy. As such the big energy players (oil companies, grid companies, power distribution companies) will be looking to get into the space. There are not a huge number of companies in the sector, and there are a lot that will be eying them. So AFC will become attractive as soon as it has a commercial product and a few sales behind it. That will be soon. Add in alkamem etc......
I genuinely think we will get taken out at between £1 and £2 Bn. I may be 100% wrong!

That's a fair point junior...crazy valuations do happen and I guess as likely with us as anyone.

Personally I have a degree of confidence that we will get north of £1 over the next 12 months, but I still see that as a challenge.

I am not selling anything below £1. The politics, green agenda and tech are too well aligned for that and to do so would be selling out cheap. At £1 I will probably top slice a small number, say 10% of my holding, for a few treats.....after a decade with AFC I feel I have earned them!

At £1.50 I will sell enough to pay off my mortgage; that will leave me with about half my current holding. That is then a part of my retirement pot and what I do with it depends on a number of factors - where AFC is, how likely a dividend policy is etc etc. I will probably want to spread risk a bit.

That all said I think it unlikely we will rise above a MCap of £1 Bn before an offer is made. There will be lots of large companies looking at the hydrogen space and someone will want to take AFC out before it is too expensive to do so.

I wonder if this means we will kick TUVA into touch, Good riddance if so.

I can see the sense in this role as it will raise awareness in exactly the right places, but such a post in a company as small as AFC, is something of a luxury. I hope it underlines their confidence, rather than reflects a lack of commercial penetration thus far.

£20 a share would give AFC a MCap of about £13 Bn. I think you may have lost your credibility with your first post.

Is that a problem? As long as someone is driving it at 7 years the benefit is being realised. Doesn't matter whether that person is the first, second or tenth owner.

I think a bit of a break in the upward progression for a day or two is not bad thing. If we can close around 33/33.5 I think that supports the week's movement well. I think there is a reasonable chance of further news next week, perhaps substantial, to support the next rise.

I hope to see this stable at 40p by the end of December. A decent launch level for the expected fireworks next year.
