Remembering that HE1 (operating in the middle of nowhere and at great expense) was an easy £126M m/cap before they spud their first well (which wasn't even a success) I am a bit peed off that HEX (with 2 drills on the way, both in the US and with super-cheap drill costs) can only manage a m/cap of just over £30M. This seems unjust.

I finally managed to get rid of the shares that I had been stuck with since mid-December 2023 - and for a nice profit which I certainly wasn't expecting. I had bought in when the reworked well was flowing at 160bopd (and even as high as 400bopd) and then at the next update at the end of March 2024, technical issues suddenly caused the flow rates to drop to between 30 and 70bopd, at which point the share price started to plummet. I think the rise yesterday was way overdone but then that is the way of the market.

There is no reason to mindlessly bash David Lenigas. After all his share has gone up over 400% today.

I can't understand a word of that RNS, but my only interest here is a small amount I am stuck with at 2.249p, which wasn't actually a bad price to pay until the SP went into freefall.

I initially read the second part of the announcement as helium but on a second reading it turns out to be lithium. Funny but I have never heard of lithium coming from an oil well. Actually it is a pity it isn't a deal to access helium as that is the hot ticket at the moment especially as David Lenigas is the Chairman here and he seems to have missed the boat on helium so far.

Also I think that PPP still have an outstanding farm-in to Horse Hill with UKOG though there hasn't been a mention of this for a while. Depending on whether Horse Hill is still in operation after the recent court case ruling - which I also didn't understand a word of!! - I was thinking that it might be a better deal for PPP to buy Horse Hill from UKOG outright - again subject to PPP being able to raise the funds.

Another 100% rise and I will break even here.

No RNS today (so far at least) though I wasn't expecting one despite the unexpected rise yesterday.

Actually, I apologise for my posts yesterday as I had missed the post by MSA at 10.16am which gave the link to the New York Times article re Kobold Energy which in retrospect seems to be the reason for the 20% rise rather than any leak. Unfortunately, the market already knows about and has factored in Kobold's adjacent copper discovery so no doubt the share price will probably slide back down to where it was before the article.

I will shut up and await news regarding this ongoing drill.

Karam has gone from Executive Chairman though he is still a non-executive director. I wonder how long before he and his Italian partner - otherwise known as EXT - start to reduce their holding to zero.

No! Well check out the Times article from 5th February 2024 which prompted the RNS from TYM on 6th Feb - link below - and which caused a similar 20% rise to yesterday's rise.

Swazers - What you should have 'called' is a false breakout as that is what this appears to be. There was a similar rise on 6th February, with TYM releasing an RNS referring to an article the day before in the Financial Times. The volume on that day was much the same as today.

Note: any immediate newsflow ie. an RNS could change this into a full breakout.

Great. Fantastic article (though I haven't read it as I don't have a subscription) that helps to explain today's mysterious rise.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't mean that there is copper on TYM's prospect as yet so if this is the sole cause of today's mini-rise then the chances are that the share price will soon fall back down. We shall have to wait and see if there is any news forthcoming from TYM.

If you read my posts you would understand that I am ridiculing such a silly rise and certainly not regretting missing anything.

Obviously, if the current drill hits the copper zone then the share price will rise by many multiples of its current level and a leak of 20% or so will mean very little. But then equally if the drill doesn't find any copper then the share price will tank, probably by as much as 50%. I am quite happy to wait and see the result of the drill and certainly not worried about a silly little rise over no news.

Sorry Mr Buffett. Looking at the last 10 years of the chart for this share it doesn't look like much of a share to buy and hold. FTSE 100 or 250 shares are the better option for investors rather than AIM minnows, which seem to be more suited to traders.

It will be a mirage unless there is a good reason for the rise. If not then the share price will soon drop back down again. Unfortunately, share prices do not rise for no reason. If they did we would no doubt all be very wealthy already.

Okay, I noticed a discrepancy in the number of shares in issue from the November 2023 placing and the TVR from 29th February 2024 and I was looking for another placing somewhere. Cheers.

0.1275p to buy on IG - though if you want another 20 million it will set you back 0.1397p!!!

Maybe Mr Cheetham is after some more money. Bump up the share price mysteriously and then get a placing off at about 0.08p - ie. a bit lower than it was before the mysterious rise. The last placing in November 2023 was only for £150K and there are a load of projects to fund as well as the salaries.

There isn't a rise. There is some twitchy insider trading if news is logged and on its way or else just a few buys at 0.105p probably out of pure boredom. I'm quite happy to wait for news to be released over the official channel - ie. by RNS. That way I can't miss out.

Unfortunately in the AIM market, a bullish chart means nothing without news.

Yes the daily chart is primed for a rise but the weekly chart is clearly on the pullback and it will take some very good news to move it upwards for more than a point or two.
