The management need to take whatever offer they can get and forget all about Russia.

and since then the useless management, and particularly Robin Young who was CEO then, have drawn their salaries and done as little as possible while stringing shareholders on about eventually going into production.

The truth is that Russia was and is not a good place for foreign companies and it is most likely that they would never have got anywhere near going into production even without the latest troubles. It has just been one big fantasy, propelled along by the ever increasing asset, but never in the real world was this ever likely to happen.

Now the best option will be to sell this asset, via Cyprus where the sale should go through okay without breaching any sanctions.

Amur can then look into acquiring an alternative prospect, maybe in a friendly environment like Australia, and maybe another nickel/copper prospect as there are some of those there.

Otherwise this will just drag on until the asset gets taken off them, and that is with or without a resolution to the current conflict. In fact, if the conflict does end it will probably be even worse for companies like AMC as the US sanctions will no doubt drag on for years if not decades and the animosity between Russia and US/Europe will no doubt intensify.

Charts mean a whole lot more to me than the number of shares in issue or dilution and the chart for this share very clearly shows that the SP is on its way down from the recent highs.

To do a placing at 2p was very naïve and bordering on the stupid.

Traders do not need to give a damn about dilution. That is only a worry for a LTH - a long term holder.

You are thinking from your own perspective as an existing shareholder. I was not an existing shareholder so dilution isn't a factor of consideration for me. My only consideration was the price at which I was going to buy in here.

From another perspective companies such as Empire Metals are dependent on Institutional Investors for funding. They should make sure that the placings are done at such a price to make sure the investors are happy to stump up these large sums. This placing will not make them feel very good - in fact they will look pretty stupid for a while.

When the share price was 1p last month I had never even heard of Empire Metals.

I now know they were previously Georgian Mining, who I was familiar with though I had never held any of their shares and anyway the less said about them the better.

I watch this rise after the high gold assays for day after day from 1p to over 2.5p. I thought at the time that this rise was being spiked by a lot of rampant posters though that was not the case. It was very obvious that with sporadic news flow the share price here would drop back. I was waiting for the share price to drop back to the mid 1p's at which point I was going to buy in but before that could happen the management did a placing at 2p, at which price I bought in. I thought at the time that this placing was at too high a price but I had already bought.

It now turns out that they have plenty of cash and didn't even need to do the placing. It is better that they do not **** off the Institutional Investors who have stumped up a whopping £1.7 Million only to find out on the day the placing shares are issue that they could have bought them on the open market at a cheaper price. That is just stupid.

Dilution is not a problem here. The market cap is low and there are not a lot of shares in issue. I was not an existing share holder.

It is unprofessional to do a placing at say 2p and for Institutional Investors to stump up a not inconsiderable amount of cash - £1.7 Million - if the share price is likely to tank - which is exactly what is happening here.

This is very poor management to get the placing price so completely wrong.

It doesn't matter a toss how good the prospects are. Drilling and assays are the only thing that counts with these exploration companies. I'm quite annoyed, as you can probably tell. 1.4p would have been a sensible entry price and not 2p.

To be brutally honest the placing price at 2p was bloody stupid. The management should learn their business. They are embarrassing themselves in front of both Institutional and private investors. And some of the management even bought in at this silly placing price themselves. Daft!

With no drilling or assays in progress this will fall, which is exactly what was happening to the share price before this stupid over-priced placing.

All good - just a shame that the share price has run out of steam.

I was planning to get in here on the pullback at about 1.5p (1.4p to 1.6p) but the placing at 2p put a stop to that and I have now bought in at 2p though I have a feeling that with no news and particularly no assay results due anytime soon I may regret not having had the b*lls to take a chance on the SP dropping to my original target despite the placing.

Not to worry as the prospects are looking good but in the meantime this will sit idle alongside so many other of my holdings that are all slightly under water with news coming out so so slowly.

I'm surprised this hasn't gone up more on this news, especially with the management mentioning their plans to "maximise the value of its interest in the Mako Gas Discovery on the Duyung permit in Indonesia."

This company has previous form selling assets as some while ago (2016) they sold their 3% working interest stake in the Sugarloaf oil asset/reserves in Texas for $71.5 Million, part of which was returned to shareholders.

I am not sure what their stake in the Duyung project might be but with the current price of gas it is certainly worth more than it was worth a year or two ago. They also mention possible farmout opportunities.

Forward Plan

It is Empyrean's intention to maximise the value of its interest in the Mako Gas Discovery on the Duyung permit in Indonesia and position itself for participation in the drilling of the high impact Topaz prospect. Demand for oil and gas in the South East Asian region is strong and growing. Demand and prices for pipeline quality gas that the Mako Gas Discovery offers is strong into the Singapore energy hub.

This was bad enough when the share price was ranging along between 32p and 38p. Now it's nearly 50% down from that and doesn't seem to be making any efforts to move up at all.

Yes, I apologise, as on looking there have not been very many post at all over the last few weeks. In fact there have been less than 200 since the announcement on 30th March that started the rise, which is not many as a heavily ramped board on this website can have that many posts in a few hours. The share price has though been very strong and I just assumed that was in part being fuelled by lots of positive posts. It looks like it was just solid buying so let's hope that continues.

With no posts or posters here except me - and I am a complete newbie - then it appears that this share must have been ramped by a few posters for the best part of the last month. Not having held here before, and having missed buying in at 1p before the high grade gold drill results, I was quietly waiting around for the SP to drop back to a sensible level to get involved. My target was about the 1.5p mark.

However, as a result of today's placing, I have now bought at 2p. I hope that this is not going to be a rash move in a few weeks time when with no news the SP will start to drift.

Let's hope the management up their game to match their confidence in this placing price, otherwise I shall be moaning like all of the posters here who are still holding from the Georgian Mining days.

It would help if there were a few more posts here - apart from the rather benign complaints about there being a placing at all and the dilution.
