I've seen many JORC's and CPR's over the years give an on the day rise of 100% (and some even 100's of %'s) and by rights that is exactly what should happen here but then again this share is weird. There are always tons and tons of posts so there is plenty of interest and there is plenty to get excited about ie. safe jurisdiction, high price of oil, already in production, etc and yet the share price never seems to rise like it should and whenever it tries the buys always seem to be outdone by the sells. Very strange.

We can only live in hope that one day the share price will rise to a level to reflect the asset.

19.4p to buy so it's moving up steadily.

That is considerably higher gas rates even than when this well came on production.

From the same RNS dated 13th December 2021:

"With this additional natural gas production, the Company expects to benefit from currently robust natural gas prices in Canada. January 2022 natural gas futures contracts at the AECO hub (the benchmark for natural gas prices in Canada) were C$3.87/GJ as of December 12th, 2021, being approximately 30% higher than the 2021 Q3 average of C$2.97/GJ.

Marshall Abbott, CEO commented: "Production initiation at the West Pepper Well represents a step change in our overall production profile. The well is expected to generate significant additional revenue and cash flow for the Company going forward."

According to the podcast the RCE-2 well is going to be brought into production starting on Monday at a flow rate of about 500 bopd which will be ramped up to 2000 bopd within the week. 50% of this production is AXL's.

On top of this there is the existing production from Columbia and the gas from Canada which according to the RNS of 13th December: "With the additional production from the West Pepper Well, the Company estimates that its net corporate production is approximately 1,570 boe/d, almost tripling net corporate production prior to the tie-in of the West Pepper Well."

At one stage yesterday the Canadian listing was up by 25%. It would be nice if we could match that today - and then the Canadian market can continue with further gains when they open later.

The MM's have been playing a dirty game over the last 2 days with lots and lots of delayed trades for quite large amounts going through as unknown trades. What was largely a sea of blue trades have been passed off as possible sells. I don't know the reason for this but it is not helping and is certainly slowing down any potential share price rise here. They are even at it this morning as my buy at 17p has also gone through as an unknown trade.

It looks like the London listing is embarrassing itself in front of the Canadian market for now. Come on 21p is the target to match yesterday's high in Canada and with probably more to come there today. How's about 25p - CAD 0.40c.

In the podcast the CEO said that the East Pepper well in Canada had a resource booked of 1.8Tcf of gas - that is quite a lot of gas, is it not. And that was also waiting to be tied in alongside the recent West Pepper resource which is producing at over 1000boe/pd.

I thought that yesterday here was a bit odd - not a single post and a flat to slightly falling share price.

Then Canada opens and the share price there was up at a similar if not bigger rise to the previous day. At one point Canada hit CAD 0.335 which is equivalent to 21p in the UK and the fall back towards close was probably only caused by the fact that London had closed at the equivalent of CAD 0.26.5. Canada still closed at 0.30c which is a midpoint of 18.75p.

"COPL is entering a new era, communication wise and production wise" - let's hope this is share price wise too!!!

Because too be quite honest the share price is so low it is embarrassing, and very annoying.

From memory I believe that the 2 placings before suspension were at 20p and then 32p and it would have been common sense for the 2 placings to acquire CUDA to have also been at 20p and then the second, more recent one at 32p. Considering the share price was sat in a tight range of between 32p and 38p for quite a time before the second placing that would have been very doable. 20p for the second placing was far too low and has f*cked up the share price completely.

I was just going to try the drill plans as I just remembered that they also showed the drills in progress so thanks for that.

The real problem here, as I remember I pointed out about a year ago, is that to get this JORC'd up within a reasonable timescale it would need 4 or more drills working non-stop. GGP took about 18 months from when Newcrest took control to get to their maiden JORC but they had as many as 12 rigs working 24/7 for a large part of that time.

With only 1 or even 2 rigs here it is going to take forever.

I seem to remember that the assay RNS's used to also give information about what holes were in progress or planned though I cannot see that on either of the last two RNS's.

Can someone please tell me if there is any drilling going on here at the moment. If not when was the last hole drilled. If there is then how many drills are active and how many holes are planned.

Production forecast at 2000bopd with 50% net to AXL within less than two weeks from now. Well will pay for itself within 2 months. Next drill to start very soon. What's there not to like.

I see that AXL have been listed on the TSXV in Canada for a number of years with historically much higher share prices than since the London listing.

Also it looks likely they will release their first quarter earnings up till 31st March 2022 before the end of May. This will include the spike oil prices from March so they should make interesting reading.

Yes, but things have changed completely with regards to oil and gas production over the last few months. Even projects in the UK that were moth-balled are now being allowed and encouraged. And this is just the start with oil prices projected to rise further.

This is dual-listed on the Canadian market so there should be further interest this afternoon.

It's a good result when they can get production straight on stream. Sometimes these companies take months to convert successful testing to production.

The RCE-2 well was spud on April 2, 2022. RCE-2 targeted a large, three-way fault bounded structure with multiple high-quality reservoir objectives on the Tapir Block in the Llanos Basin of Colombia. The well was drilled to a total measured depth of 9,600 feet and encountered six hydrocarbon bearing intervals totaling 90 net feet of oil pay.

Specific production test rates for the isolated zones (shallowest to deepest) include:

· Carbonera C7 and C7 Stringer: tested 2,000 bopd (net 1,000 bopd) peak rate of 28 API crude.

The zone was tested for 19 hours at an average rate of 1,199 bopd (net 600 bopd).

· Gacheta C, C1 and C2: initial testing indicates productive capacity of 300 bopd (net 150 bopd) rate of 27 API crude. The zone was tested for 14 hours at an average rate of 115 bopd (net 58 bopd). Reserves have not been assigned to this zone previously.

· Gacheta D: tested 680 bopd (net 340 bopd) peak rate of 14 API crude.

The zone was tested for 33 hours at an average rate of 362 bopd (net 181 bopd).
