Looks like we'll probably be saying goodbye to the FTSE 250 today.

Seems to be a bit nervous this morning .... that short is looking like it's not going to be the money spinner they thought it would be.

Short squeeze or no short squeeze one thing is certain......if you were short this morning you just lost 5%. And that was on no news.....imagine what will happen when that Kenya RNS drops..... Oooops

I do like a 5% Friday ....

Looks like the rot has stopped and we've stabilised around 25p. I think the next move will be up, up and up. The price is so low that it won't take much to get pushed up 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% and beyond.

The short green brigade have short memories and think this can't double. Yet in 2021 when oil was around $50 a barrel this happened ......

I think they're about to see their profits evaporate into loses if they don't get out now.

Perhaps you should of asked that at the AGM....or just do some research.

So the FDP was submitted to EPRA in very early in March if I recall correctly. Therefore we must be due a decision from EPRA any day now, as the 3 months is almost up. I seem to also recall that the 3 months is a legal timeline so hopefully can't be extended.

No idea who this is or their source, however they seem to imply TLW has present a bill for $1b with the FDP.

"I can see alot of confusion between cost of oil & share of oil profit. Also Ghana Jubilee field didn't cost $15 billion in exploration. For example Tullow presented a $1 billion exploration bill for Turkana oil that is part of the FDP currently undergoing verification"

Chirchir says his ministry is in the process of reviewing the viability of the crude oil deposits a day after Africa Oil Corporation and total energies exited project oil Kenya development leaving Tullow Oil with the entire 100 shareholding.

"This is a plan that the report that has been submitted to us to confirm the commerciality and the technical viability of of of of of taking this product and building the infrastructure and making sure it's economically viable and uh and this will soon be tabled in the house with a comprehensive report technical report on the commerciality both technical and economic reports for ratification by Parliament and after which the contract is expected the contractor is expected to move to final investment decision."

How exactly does owning 100% as opposed to 50% not strengthen your position in getting a deal. Hell ..... TLW can give away 50% now and still retain 50%. They sure as hell couldn't do that last week!

Some comedians on here today.....Kenya worthless.... msles me laugh..... that must be why Tullow is spending £15 million on it in 2023. Rahul the penny pincher just loves to waste money.

We're talking in excess of 500m barrels of oil. At $50 that's $25b and at $75 that's $37.5b. I think we'll get more than the £1.8b. Remember that we've just been gifted 50%, so that's a lot of extra wiggle room for negotiations.

TLW can now give away .... yeas give away ..... 50% of Kenya and still retain 50%. Once production started that would give them another 60k bopd, effectively doubling their production. At $75 oil that is another $1.65b revenue and almost 4x the current market cap.

Hardly surprising we're not seeing a lot of green on here today and I think the next 6 months are going to be very interesting.
