Reality is how can it not be worth a punt as long as you're buying in with money you can afford to sit on for a while. I know Kenya is not a certainty, however there are so many signs that it is going to happen that you just can't ignore them. Obviously sensible investors will wait till the RNS drops or news leaks and then buy in. However, that's fine for the MM's as on the morning the RNS drops they get their shot at it before the market opens to us plebs. By then it's up 50% already. For me I'm holding till this plays out for better or for worse (would even buy more if I could afford it).

The debt really is not an issue here, as you have to remember it was refinanced with no issue in 2020 when oil was under $60 a barrel and the debt was higher. So no reason it can't be refinanced again in the future. Plus the way inflation is going soon $2 billion will be pocket money.

But yes caution is always advised.

If you look at the 2 tweets from the National Land Commission. In the photos where you can partially see the project plan there are in total 12 steps listed. Step 9 is "Identification of Resources Required and Stakeholders Mapping", which has a date of 27/02/2023 to 20/03/2023. The last step is step 12 and is titled "Submission of FDP Rev 3.0 to EPRA", however you can't see the date against that step. So as the 27th is Monday and they're on step 9, I'd say they've made some progress however realistically we're probably looking at Q2 at the earliest before there is any kind of news.

In fact they're so onboard they relied twice. Also more of the plan showing in the background of photo 2 of the second reply.

If you look at one of the replies to the Tweet you can see the National Land Commission is also onboard for this to happen. And in photo two of the reply you can partially see the agenda in the photo ..... things are happening ... no doubt about it!!

Note that it says refinery project. So that I imagine is why IOC is involve, so they can build a refinery rather than a pipeline. Makes sense, refine the oil and use it in Kenya instead of exporting it.

POWER you have to understand Tullow is operating in Africa. It's not exactly the most stable environment, so what control does Rahul have over the Ghanaian government credit rating, the speed at which the Kenyan government gives approval or the general day to day share price. Not a lot is the answer and the share price has dropped on sentiment and people losing patience. Holders openly criticising and expressing dissatisfaction with their holding really don't help the cause either. While I'm sure Rahul would love 90p by 3pm as much as you or I, that's probably not what you're going to get from a 5 year plan.

Thanks Tman75. I prefer using the thread view. I can resist the urge to look at the *******s they post. Was just curious on this post of mine as it was aimed at NSVPatel and they responded. Took me 3 years to post 1400 odd posts on here.... yes I really need to get a life :-)..... at this rate it will take them 4 months.....they seriously need help.

I have filtered you, however the BB still shows the name of the person who last posted on each thread. As you post pretty much everytime someone else posts your name appears a lot. I can click on your name and it shows all of your posts. Probably an oversight on this website, as if you've filtered someone I think you shouldn't be able to do that.

So lets look at the current situation....

* We have a group of individuals on this BB who've been posting regularly for a few years, hold and want the hare price to go up.
* There have been no new members coming onto the BB asking for advice about if they should invest here.
* The share price is at a 2 year low.
* The company is in the best shape it's been in since March 2020.

Suddenly out of the blue we have several very vocal new user accounts appear on this bulletin board not offering any arguments or facts, but rather flooding it with negative statements and insults. All this to apparently protect holders and those wanting to enter, as this is going to drop to 20p. So the question is what is behind this:

* Paid derampers who are paid per post working on behalf of someone who is shorting this stock.
* A PI who is short and thinks if they flood the BB with their negativity it will drive down the price.
* A PI who is short and is just a pathetic idiot.
* A PI who is bitter as they sold out in 2020 for under 10p incurring a big loss.
* A random troll who has nothing better to do.

Who knows, however what I do know is I've been hearing this for over 3 weeks now and we're still not 20p. No mater how much negativity they post or insults they throw, they just can't change the fundamentals.
