The Air India dispute is marketing nightmare at present and the recent response is very confident from Cairn. Big week.

If you check the holding RNS in March, it's gone from 12.1 to 11.88% (sold 1 million of their 60 million shares). Wouldn't worry.

Think Cairn are meeting on Wednesday, knowing public comment closes on 4th Sept.

Interestingly, money will be paid with 30 days once agreed.

They want this sorted and fast.

If we are all but settled, neither party will want to go any further with Air India assets. Therefore, the 10th September is a deadline that might force a decision on settlement.

Interestingly it states they are looking to close the matter on Wednesday.

Without question they will need cash but I don't see it being raised down at 2p.

Before 10th September I would imagine

That's my thinking, delt haven't really priced in the farm out to me. Cairn with £800m new cash are a huge partner for them.

I think the air India case was the nail the coffin for needing to act, whatever is publicly said.

I see we are creeping up, which is exactly how I'd play the SP too. Folks get bored or see other opportunities and each time they sell, the SP moves up.

The main stumbling block is that the government are worried that some shareholders will pursue the whole amount. Legally it's creating new precedents by the sound of it.

Whatever way you look at it, Cairn are far more likely to recover a substantial amount now.

Thinner volume so a little take down instead.
