Looks that way, my concern is genuinely a suspension now.
If DGI9 cannot relinquish the other assets, it's curtains.
50p?!
My maths at the moment, sell Aqua Comms for £150m and Elio for £30m + £50m cash.
- RCF £35m (post Verne sale)
- 10% selling fees
= £207m (+25% from today)
Give Arqiva away to someone in the street for free and set fire to the rest of the assets.
I'm joking but seriously, we're priced astonishingly low now.
Wow, this has no brakes, surely ANY asset management company can step in now and pick up "£800m" worth of assets for about £200-£250m? Who would vote against it now?
"Winterflood Research analyst James Wallace added the Icelandic anti-trust authority had recently approved Ardian's takeover of the nation's largest telecoms infrastructure service provider, which resulted in the "somewhat expected" additional scrutiny of the Ardian acquisition of Verne Global."
"In 2022, Iceland's Competition Authority received 30 merger notifications, of which ten went to Phase II investigations, with all ten cleared with conditions, according to and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development report."

Well, it's either £800m as per NAV or as the market values it, £160m - I would guess it's somewhere between.
That's one of the possibilities for its disposal, I believe, an IPO for Arqiva.
They have definitely tried to shake out holder with this move, you start thinking 7p, when it was looking more like 12p, just a month ago. Crazy swing based on little evidence. A return to 10p by end of Feb would be par for the course? We'll see.
OK, so why close if it's bust? Feels like a big over reaction, but time will tell, I've been wrong before...
So who was happy to take £700k?
Some big trades going on - saw them yesterday/day before too. Makes me wonder if there is something brewing, a shuffling of the cards.
Nor me, cash down to £700m and now the drag of Redrow on top. Not one for now, need to wait until the market picks up to reap benefit.
Higher for longer also not what people want for the backdrop here...
