The methodology in assessing and treating patients hasn’t massively evolved since triaging and hospital wards in the Crimean war and before. We have done it this way forever and that is passed on with new medics and managers.

There is a huge opportunity and the technology to now enable a complete re think on a huge section of the medical care. Freeing up staff and resources for intensive treatment that can’t yet be considered outside of a hospital.

This will happen. Mental note next area for investment research.

So being an island nation we should have a big geographical head start. But that simply is not being utilised.

1. Act more quickly to manage & limit international movement.

2. Permit such movement only after a negative test and limited but supervised quarantine in any case.

3. Mandate unlimited fines for anyone deliberately or recklessly enabling disease spread by holding mass gatherings.

4. Follow the good practice of many others like New Zealand with quarantine hotels.

One of my sons friends recently went out to Barbados. He was quarantined in his hotel room with security and not allowed to leave until tested and confirmed negative.

Compare and contrast and it’s really not that difficult to see why we have the highest death rate in the world from this.

Maybe we are all being played here. Maybe we are being duped in an elaborate scam masterminded by a cohort of eminent medical professionals.
Maybe leading world experts representing the UK and USA governments have fast tracked SNG have misunderstood the scientific merit.
Maybe the multi national companies who are partnering with SNG want to risk their reputations in being linked to a Ponzi type scam that is bound to fail.
Or maybe we have far thinking diminutive British Bio that is has shown its wares to the big boys and is gearing up for mass roll out.
When I have a bit of doubt creep in I think about this. I also remember RM saying we will need patience to be rewarded and ‘the worst case scenario is still very good.’

Respectfully take a different view or at least am prepared to consider it as a real possibility.
The virus doesn’t think it evolves and the more effective mutations are more successful and proliferate. The expectation that a virus eventually weakens through mutation is heart warming but in getting there nothing can predict it getting worse also.
That is what we are seeing in relatively short space of time and that is why governments whilst maintaining the vaccine mantra are genuinely worried. Hence closing travel corridors and increasing testing regimes.
I am an optimist/ realist which requires an honest assessment of a threat. Not scaremongering but not sugar coating it either. This could continue to mutate and eventually render itself a non issue but that’s certainly not what it’s doing on a global scale at the moment.

My gut feeling has been the UK government were aware.
We have one of if not the best bio chemical research facilities in the world.
They are drip feeding but keeping a lid on things to avoid mass panic. You promote positivity and reassure the patient- even if you have a low expectation of a good outcome- all text book stuff.
Folk rushing to buy foreign holidays for the summer need to think again. Matt Han**** said he was hoping to go to Cornwall at best. Further more stringent lockdowns I think are on the cards until the scientists come up with a lasting solution.
There will imho opinion be an insatiable appetite for viable treatments as an Initial response and for mass long Covid issues.
SNG could be a very valuable commodity but also society and the world at large in one hell of a mess.

I agree this to me looks like a significant positive. It reaffirms an appetite for the science underpinning SNG and the USA want to buy into it. A crude analysis is that they will chuck money at anything that is vaguely helpful.

Just all things considered on what we know SNG is by far superior in application and clinical outcomes.
I am very happy with that.
