I’m getting a bit of a mental image of someone who polices kids playing ‘No Ball Games Allowed’ and ‘Keep off the Grass.’

Been a while wondering how the old beard was doing ? And wondered if you had any tasty appetisers as to how it’s all going since we’ve all been very good sitting on our hands waiting and then some.
A bit like ‘ Waiting for Godot ‘for those familiar with it - people apparently going delirious with boredom and arguing over piffle.

It is quite amusing how some seem totally fixated by who they see ‘presenting’ news and that will inform their beliefs as to its veracity.
If at sea next to an oil tanker known to be carrying oil and there was a significant oil leak my first reaction would be it is ‘likely’ to have come from the oil tanker until proven otherwise. I wouldn’t say it can’t be the oil tanker because I heard it reported on Fox News. Neither would I think it likely the oil had just sprung out of the ground and it was a coincidence that there just happened to be an oil tanker next to it carrying a Sh*t load of oil.

A bit like the pandemic originating in Wuhan maybe.

So England narrowly beat some guys who play for Brentford and on occasion Denmark.

Undoubtedly some excellent personal performances but to be honest a bit frustrating when on several occasions we had managed to get the ball all the way to the oppositions goal line only to decide not try to attack their goal but pass it backwards all the way to our own goalkeeper ?

I always like to look behind the carefully fashioned hype and narrative for evidence without listening to extremists on the negative side.
Action beats reaction the vast majority of times. The vaccines have been good but the virus at the moment just seems able to be getting more effective and remains several steps ahead.

Doctors and Nurses are already being told they will have to increase their PPE to try and mitigate the huge no.s of Mr & Mrs Numpty who will now refuse to wear masks in any setting.
Idiotic and selfish a bit like some people’s perspective- screw everyone else’s safety I won’t wear a mask.

Being a wee bit cynical if the public can in future be blamed for not behaving responsibly future increases in Covid related illness and death are no longer a government burden. Quite a master stroke then?

Sadly there are a vast array of muppets in society and this laissez faire policy may may be a populist winner. But some folk need protecting from themselves.

With the stroke of a pen this will undoubtedly make a lot of workplaces less safe. Everyone from shop workers, hospitality staff to medics will be put at increased risk because Mr Numpty or indeed Mrs Numpty know their rights and they don’t need to wear a mask anymore.

A good many leading scientists & doctors are expressing grave concerns and many seem to think this is a very stupid thing to do.

I personally think this will cause carnage and we are by all accounts about to find out the magnitude of additional deaths in a massive suck it and see experiment.

The title may turn out to be overly generous. Back to the Herd Immunity Policy then that apparently never was.
