Whatever obligations and agreements PETS.L have regarding property rentals and lease periods come under strategy and planning.
Any statement on this board - good or bad - regarding PETS.L legal agreements with Landlords that isn't published is pure speculation of a sort that isn't worthy of consideration.

The IIs and the Hedge Funds are [and have been] facilitating each other.
Both make money from this loan/short arrangement. Even the brokers win because a constant market is being created.

The only potential loser is the PI operating outside of the arrangement.

This is a very good reason why buying on knowledge, belief or fundamentals as opposed to share price movements is key for a PI. If share price movements unnerve you, you become a victim to this type of loan/short strategy.

Daily, i ask myself, am i holding the stock for the same reason i purchase it? Do i still believe in the potential of the company, product or service? If i didn't hold, would i be looking for an entry point?

I need a YES to all three to stay LONG.

The risk is always real. No guarantees.
But IMO you cannot allow price movements based on institutional financial instruments to be the main measure of risk.

Schroeders and Norges Bank have significant amounts of their PETS.L holdings on loan to hedge funds. The hedge funds are shorting the stock, pushing price lower. Schroeders and Norges Bank then buying more at reduced price.

Schroeders and Norges Bank are buying LONG based on fundamentals. They're making money from the hedge funds from loaning stock, buying on the lows, and well placed when stock re-balances.

Yes, stable is the word. Nick Anderton's recent large BUY as a 'close associate to CEO' was a 'stake in the ground moment' for me. That purchase followed a string of 'associate buys'. Someone knows something. Someone has some confidence. In the short term this price could spike in either direction. Ultimately, i'm comfortable going long on PETS.L

Same thoughts here. I review holdings on news and fundamentals. I don't sweat too much over price swings. The price swings, should they occur, act to remind me that i can improve my 'buy and sell' timing :) We can all improve on timing.
