Publishing Director
Brave Bison are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record in launching and managing successful digital & social publishing brands.
The perfect candidate will clearly demonstrate instinctive leadership qualities, developed on a career path that showcases the strategic and management skills required to build famous media brands that contribute to culture. You’ll have a deep understanding of what it takes to create and execute a media brand strategy via a content output and audience development plan that is driven by data.
This key senior management role will report directly into the CEO, and will assume reponsibility for Brave Bison’s hugely successful portfolio of the world’s biggest social media brands. The Publishing Director will take ownership of the brand and content strategy, managing a team of channel managers, editors and licensing specialists to deliver the content schedule required to achieve ambitious audience growth and revenue KPIs.
The perfect candidate is a media and content obsessive, who is prepared to test and measure meticulously to determine the quickest route to success.
You’ll be a supportive and hands-on manager, excited to nurture a young team with strong ideas, developing their various specialisms.
The Publishing Director will work directly alongside senior Commercial, Creative & Operations executives to understand our goals and utilise our data to map out objectives for Brave Bison brands, before delivering the vision and output to drive success across multiple social and digital platforms, plus off-line brand experiences.
The perfect candidate is a media & content obsessive, who loves nothing more than to watch an idea come to life before evolving it through an instant feedback loop with the audience. You’ll be a visionary and supportive manager, able to understand and develop the various talents & specialisms needed to grow a modern day digital and social media business.

Qualifications:
• Clear & consistent experience in leadership of media, social or cultural brands in the digital space.
• P&L management & financial growth reporting.
• Deep knowledge of current social media technologies, platforms and revenue opportunities.
• Proven success in content campaigns, and social audience growth.
• Experience in managing multiple teams, with varied KPIs and output requirements.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the video, audio, graphic & post-production process.
• Journalism/ Media / Marketing degree or equivalent.
