Unbelievable sp moves on minuscule volume of share traded. What gives with this share?

What is it with Premier? Their sp seem to get clobbered and Tullow sp doesn’t to the same extent? Are Tullow oil reserve barrels different? Is their debt any different?

Haha Kroger get their bananas out before they go soft you mean? I’m sure the US has no technology companies to rival Ocado :) how could they possibly? Nobody has ever thought of hiring a bunch of programmers based in India before. Brilliant stuff and these robots are all like a mini Messi :)
Wow, my only issue is none of their “big” announcements ever contain any financial analysis, perhaps that’s why the share price oscillates as the believers and the non-believers try to figure out how to value this thing.

This mob are a symptom of the problem here they are not the cause of the problem with Spire!

Could the fact that oil prices are down by about 40% and falling further have anything to do with all their
wells being delayed?

How true! There was mention by the Chairman at the AGM about directors fees and salaries being clawed back due to the complete ineptitude of the Board and Execs over the Pref Buyback debacle. Plus I thought the Authorities were investigating their actions?
Honestly Aviva has become a watchword for massive rewards and shocking performance. This lot don’t have a clue what they are doing. Time for change please.

Will definitely go lower until the Board is properly constituted and new Chairman and new CEO are in place. The only thing holding the sp up is the yield support and the excess capital (assuming they haven’t already blown it on higher priced share buy backs and paying off executives etc). At the AGM the Chairman described his performance as a “fiasco” over the pref share debacle. And yet several months later he fires the CEO and takes the helm! This is a Chairman who has a long history of poor decisions and Aviva shareholders are just the latest beneficiaries!

That is a pretty active program of Wells they are participating in over the next few months. I think we would all have liked to see some earlier drill bit action but events beyond their control have delayed drilling activity. Pity about the +20% oil price drop but their projects are all profitable at $55/bbl I think I read in one of their earlier presentations.

New CEO. Not invented here! Remote but possible as I think they’ve taken provisions against their UK investment already. Perhaps focus on Swiss, UAE and SA hospital markets rather than try and understand how the NHS operates in a post Brexit world...

US Nat Gas prices have jumped by 18% today. Low inventories and cold weather is forecast. With crude oil price in free fall maybe the guys will change the well schedule back to their original plan!!

Yes they would have to fund unexpected cost overruns in both of these companies (through a further share issue or loan structure) as they are the only shareholder with any access to serious cash! That’s the whole Reabold model with these type of investments. Hopefully that won’t be required but in any event RBD will have to fund either big cost overruns or fund the success of future appraisal and devt costs until they ideally all agree to sell the companies or produce any fields they discover. It’s definitely not risk free as the other shareholders are not minted.

Oil price not helping with the E&P share prices. However it would be a very brave co indeed that made a bid in the current oil price environment with the carnage of 2014 so clearly in everyone’s mind!!! Plus Faroe shareholders would want to complete the drilling program before entertaining a bid. At least I would!!

They won’t take the rig on contract until all the regulatory approvals have been received in writing. They will have already spent a considerable amount of $$$ buying a well head, and strings of different sized casing for the well design etc for both the Wick and Colter wells. Most other intangible costs will be incurred only when they start drilling.

Why oh why would anyone sell shares in Baron Oil, Upldand or Reabold BEFORE these wells are actiually drilled? It’s not as if the share prices of these companies are rising in anticipation of the well results or include much or any value for the prospects currently. Strange, but I guess thats what day traders do!

Agreed it’s pretty eye watering stuff. Advisors will be happy though, probably the only ones!
Wagamama is a good brand and performing well but shouldn’t they have sorted out their core business before adding another one?

No my views don’t differ on the man or the message. It’s just NOT what one would expect a CEO calibre individual to say. If I was an independent VOD Director I wouldn’t be too chuffed to read those comments tbh. All for one and one for all and all that! Plus as I said earlier the executive directors live and breathe their business every minute of every day, they should be telling/advising the NEDs on the Board exactly what cash generation and capital requirements (and therefore dividend) their business can sustain. I always chuckle when “the Board” is wheeled out as if it has a separate life of its own!
