Totally agree Ian. Nothing has changed at all. I also agree with GMF78's post below about not engaging with any of the scaremongers either since it just adds flames to the fire.

For me, coming from oil and gas exploration I am truly baffled by the selling/ the panic. With oil and gas exploration you don't actually have any value as you need to drill a big hole in the ground and find it first and no matter how much research and science you throw at it... it is basically your luck. It is not guaranteed and therefore extremely high risk. For EUA on the other hand we actually HAVE the resources and can quite literally pick up and hold. There can be no argument about having the resources and therefore value.

For this reason, I personally couldn't care less if the SP is dragged through the mud because anyone with a few brain cells to rub together will hoover them up on the cheap since LTH are waiting on the value to be added via a deal. Might be a tad selfish but it will be the BOD, MM, II and the sturdy band of LTH's that ignore the scaremongers that will make the money here. Traders will probably make a few bucks too at times like this. The only people that will lose out are those that haven't researched and realised the magnitude of what they hold and listen to others on the BB or sell out during fluctuations.

This post is likely pointless since people waiting on the deal RNS have probably drawn the same conclusions, but wanted to share my reason for being confident.

I have JEZ filtered but I can only imagine the nonsense spewing from his fingertips. Him and his brother, simonthezealot i believe, always go from ramper to deramper with each passing week. Filter them.

On the plus side, on the SOU board JEZ got increasingly more annoying and angry around the time that the "deal" RNS came out. Maybe the more BS we hear form JEZ the closer we are to the EUA deal too lol.

I predict that most will only see a little green box in a fortnight.

So, let me get this straight.
We appoint NED for the following reasons:

1. Keep close ties with Lesego because
a) They want to keep an eye on things to see if they want to make a bid themselves.
b) Potential JV .

2. “his contacts, especially among PGM and gold producers in Russia, China and South Africa, could be beneficial for the Company as it continues to explore potential options for the Company's assets including a potential sale of the Company's mining assets.”
a) Helps facilitate sale/bidding war between companies from each competing country.
b) Helps facilitate potential JV .

We then get an update on WK that gives us the following:

1. Reminder that we now get 100% profits from WK mine as opposed the previous 30-35% because we’ve kicked out the contractors and using our own team.

2. We are told that our own team have run tests to make sure that they can do it properly and they are “happy to be in full control now”.

3. We are prepared for the new mining season.

It all screams “give us an outstanding deal or we will just go it alone and add further value and then you'll have to pay more, lol”.

To me the RNS isn’t directed at us mere mortals. It’s a public reminder that they are not in NEED of a bid and therefore won’t be taken for a ride. That’s just my take on the RNS. If you feel differently then please sell on Friday so that I can scoop up some shares on payday lol.

It is obvious, exactly. Why lock yourself into a deal allowing the banks to be lazy and collect their agreed fee, when you can withhold the guaranteed payment and force them to go all out.

Sounds to me like the interview may contain speculation as to the value of the assets. Therefore, they announce this to say "but remember, anything can happen". They are just covering their asses to make sure things are done properly. Nothing has changed and they announced what we already know. All IMO.

Agreed. To a company with deep pockets 50p might be considered a bargain. I think many people forget that this is not just palladium an not just about current palladium value. I'm pretty sure that whoever buys this will be thinking about how this could be a strategic asset to own 10 years down the line. Certain companies might be foaming at the mouth to own it solely to prevent someone else for having it. So many factors to consider above and beyond palladium and its current value.

But I'm not on a board and have never bought a company or its assets so WTFDIK.

Reveekcm's post below is 100% accurate based on my experience with Halifax. I can't speak for anyone else though.

I posted about this the other day but it has been removed, but he Aim Rules for companies states the following on page 7:

"Related party transactions
13. This rule applies to any transaction whatsoever with a related party which exceeds 5% in
any of the class tests.
An AIM company must issue notification without delay as soon as the terms of a
transaction with a related party are agreed disclosing:

— a statement that with the exception of any director who is involved in the transaction
as a related party, its directors consider, having consulted with its nominated
adviser, that the terms of the transaction are fair and reasonable insofar as its
shareholders are concerned."

I take this to mean that if the offer is not reasonable it does not have to be RNS'd. Therefore an appropriate price will have to be paid or the BOD will laugh it off.

I have read some of the incredible stories on here and I must say I'm impressed with how much patience many of BB members have. They deserve a few free shares for that alone! I for one have a short fuse when I see that sort of nonsense.

Hi all, long term holder in SOU here. I have enjoyed reading all of the different views about this company and their plans going forward. I especially like hearing from those who have far more technical knowledge than I do and from those do not share my outlook. You can never have too many perspectives!

Wondering if someone can help me out with filtering out the drivel though as I am not used to using the BB. When I type the offenders names into the filter box it works for the duration that I am using the site. However, when I log off then on again the filters I have applied have been removed. Is there a way to make the filter permanent?

Hi all. This is my first post on this board. I made an account and intended to post a while back but then the board descended into chaos, so I thought better of it. Just wanted to say thanks to PNE for sticking up for us aged 18-30 who apparently “can’t even get out of bed”. As a 25 year old who works approximately 90 hours per week as a full-time PhD researcher, a full-time research assistant, a part-time lecturer, and a research consultant, I can confirm that people in my age group are able to get out of bed.

As for the mortgage situation, I and most of my fiend group have saved more than enough for a deposit. The issue is that banks do not class research grants or self-employed income as “real income” despite having permanent contracts. Only way I can see me owning my own home anytime soon is to buy it outright, so I have my fingers are crossed that the SOU LE is decent. I know several hundred people who are in a similar situation to me and I am sure there are many more.

This isn’t meant to be a confrontational post as I know there are many “young” people who contribute nothing to society, but I wanted to highlight that some of us hard workers are caught between a rock and a hard place.

On a lighter note, thank you to everyone for their wonderful contributions to this board. There is clearly a wealth of experience here and I have learned a lot from you all and your tips have helped me out with my own research over the years.
