It’s official, out of the FTSE250. Market is in no mood to invest in companies with a forward looking growth trajectory, that are a way from being profitable.

I suspect clearer path to profitability needed for mc to support re-inclusion.

ITMs near future hinges on being part of the European consortia, with deadlines for submissions February.

Let’s hope BREXIT politics don’t scupper that. ITMs cash position is good though, better than plugs. Plugs- decent cash runway and no debt.

Some decent orders though would help assuage investor fears. C’mon DS.

Looks like a tangible output from ITMs relationship with Yara in production of clean ammonia. Perhaps a bigger order will follow on from the 24 MW electrolysers which I think are supplied, up and running.

There has been a fair amount of chat and anticipation about the Universal trial. It is worthy of note that the MRC is finding a trial of characterising resp viruses in severe acute respiratory infections.

DS suggested that the slow pace of developments in final funding approval was in ITMs favour as they weren’t ready before his tenure. It all takes time and money. Interest rate environment for the latter is not benign currently.

With regards to SP we may be approaching the moment of “maximum pessimism”. I’d like to see some light at the end of the tunnel though before committing any more.

This large South Australian project involves BOC, a Linde company. Perhaps a major opportunity for ITM?

Totally agree which is why I’m here. May take some time though. Change in interest rate environment or a change in government.

Hydrogen stock prices dropping all round. I suspect it is the interest rate environment and perception that rates will stay higher for longer making it harder to raise money for currently unprofitable companies. At some point the « great rotation » will swing back. I suspect not until interest rate cuts are on the horizon. At that point there may be some bargains to be had.

Share price volatility and to a lesser extent JV signing are beyond the control of the board.

Solid progress on projects already underway may be needed to support SP.

Thanks Titania. I have been watching MERS infection rates for some time. They remain low in humans and transmissibility in humans isn’t enormous. The nightmare scenario though is MERS and Covid co-infection in an immunocompromised individual with potential for a chimera, a hybrid with MERS pathogenicity and Covid 19 transmissibility. The high risk time for this was likely around Quatar World Cup but with covid 19 now endemic the chances are not negligible.

I don’t think there is any commercial mileage in synairgen investing in this at present but one would hope they would be quick off the mark with synairgen as potential therapeutic in this event.

I think we will need to see significant progress on the 2x100 electrolysers for RWE at Lingen before anyone will commit to ITM. Past performance on delivery not encouraging.

Signs so far relatively encouraging for RWE contract and if delivered on time and to specification more will follow. Could be a further 12 months though before we see anything solid. I’m not expecting major SP movements or orders until then.
