Any pear-shapedness and yeah, the govt is only trying to carry out voters' wishes against whatever odds make an appearance. There'll be pain but how much? Half wishing I'd sold up last week, with hindsight really. Trouble is I've no AVexit plan.

..that Aviva is well exposed to Europe, probably more so than many of its peers. Whilst the Pru went for Asian business, Aviva saw its future in Europe. Mark Wilson (New Zealander) is pessimistic about the future of the UK outside the EU and sees the risk of lower growth in the UK as long term were brexit to happen. Long term meaning until after 2030. As far as I can see Mark Wilson is a pragmatic business leader without patriotic allegiances in either camp. So why would he be merely scaremongering? My prediction is that sense will prevail and we will not vote for what is for us, the unknown. (the more powerful brexit campaigners know the options but they ain't saying). My long term bet on REMAIN is I didn't sell my AV. shares.

What is the recovery period, d'you reckon? Would it not be better investing now in a country unlikely to be affected when sterling is at its current level? Something I have been looking at altho' I wish I'd started earlier. I don't fancy Aviva even at £3 outside the EU. A REMAIN result would probably get everything back up with the inevitable over-run and selling opportunity if you are quick enough.
