No, we have to do this precisely because the company can't.

We shouldn't have issues selling our products, but a fat UK contract is always nice to have, and shall reflect in the share price. Also as a citizen you shouldn't pass on this occasion to redress your government.

Balanced & Usain : yes, I believe if we did participate to the 5bn tender, there's a good chance we'd land a contract.

An already proven product, sold by the millions, being conclusively trialed with relevant partners such as the NHS and care homes, should logically be selected.

But there's a slight caveat : this Tory cabinet (and the one before) seems allergic to logic.

It goes without saying that this announcement must have gotten on the nerves of other local testing companies, since the controversial choice made by the government amounts to a loss of potential revenue. However it's highly unlikely that they would mount a class action of sorts against the state, as they wouldn't want to risk being blacklisted.

So it falls onto us, the private investors, to put some pressure on the Bri'ish gubmint.

It shows a real world application of NCYT's mobile testing approach, and hints at how many more instruments we could sell.

However the instrument used to process these tests is clearly a Q32 unit.

What does that mean for us ? It means that even if we are to lose some market share to a competitor's test, we should partially recoup these losses thanks to increased sales of our instruments. Whether the Q16 and Q32 are used with our tests or not, we win either way.

As I wrote last time : look forward to instrument sales as an SP booster.

PCR tests don't take days, let alone weeks. That is gross disinformation.
PCR is also a technology which is compatible with POC applications.

As usual, the problem is less with the technology itself and more with how it's being used.

First, your allegation that low viral load doesn't lead to a problematic level of viral shedding needs verification.

Second, if you let in people with even minimal viral loads, this means allowing them to further spread the virus a few days later. Remember that all it takes to form a corona cluster is a single superspreader. This is unacceptable.

Third, you write : "As a passenger, would you not prefer to do a test at home before having to verify at the airport?". This reasoning sound enticing, until you realise that you basically pay twice to be tested, and that you will STILL have to wasted time at the airport to get tested, and that depending on your destination, you might still be asked to produced a PCR-driven proof of non-infection.

Yeah Prop, it might be that NCYT gave us a conservative timeline and the product might be released earlier.

In the meantime, another guessing game is on : who's the partner ?

Even if we don't beat them in terms of release date, we might well take a non-trivial chunk of their potential sales. Let's focus on that, lads !
