I think that there only two strategic assets in the corona markets : PCR tests and vaccines.

The rest is accessory and less reliable.

However since governments and markets alike seem fond of antibody tests for some reason, releasing such a product would be nice for Novacyt.

@GGG : about the HT test which would be only available for Roche instruments, did you find it in some non-obvious documentation, or is this a tip someone gave you ?
Because I couldn't find a source for it.

Also assuming this is the case, there is no indication as to whether this exclusivity is made on purpose or is just temporary.

Great find GGG, and a winter test is indeed promising commercially speaking.

Now to add some caveats :

- AZN is not mentionned as a partner for the winter test.

- AZN is partnering for Exsig, but this might entail nothing more than NCYT providing its new test for the screening partnership.

- The winter test might be validated for reimbursment in France - but NOT for the novel coronavirus part. That's because AFAIK it still wouldn't target two genes.
At least technically. Of course in practice, hospitals could just order the multitest under the pretense of testing for other viruses.

I must say that GDR's test looks very competitive, in terms of price, performance and handling.

Cutting steps, or at least reducing the complexity of each step, is exactly what the new Exsig reagent should help with. And that should help cut processing time as well. I think we're around 60 minutes right now, and *seem to recall* an estimated 40 minutes after improvements.
