How would that work ? I'm not familiar with takeovers but from what I've seen, they involve a 15~20% premium over the recent share price. (Save for IT unicorns or some pharma companies with a wonder anti-cancer treatment in the pipeline)

If the management doesn't release all the news, the price remains around 5€, and so a T/O would involve an offer of say 20% over the 5€ price. I doubt many here would be happy with this outcome.

Using Novacyt's less ressource consuming technology would allow to pump out (and sell) more test kits.

But the company could never justify to their shareholders the squandering of 11,5bn$ for German test kits that they wouldn't sell. So they'll continue to produce Qiagen's regardless of their merit. In fact that company's website claim it's producing test kits 24/7.

Tomvisual, in the best case Novacyt would have licenced its test to TF, which'd produce it along its own product lines.

It is absolutely unthinkable that they'd abandon their own technology for that of Novacyt, no matter how good it is. Think about their shareholders.
