I think a modest P/E ratio of 8 is in order.

As for your base assumption, it seems way off IMHO : "half the world population are tested twice per month for 24 months".

How I see it :
- Most of the tests will be done in rich countries,
- Maybe just 10% of a given country's population will be tested,
- Most of the people will get tested only once,
- Most of the tests will take place within a one year window.

My gut feeling is that -- conditional to an RNS -- the closing SP won't fall under that of Thursday, and could well remain in the 5€ range. That'd be partly because a number of profit takers have already exited the market last Thursday, and partly because new entrants likely won't make intraday trades and instead wait for a more meaningful moment to exit.

Normally it lasts a few minutes. But if people kept trying to buy for much more than 10% of the SP (whose value is reset after each last RH), then the trades would keep freezing.

That's my understanding of the situation and that of other ALNOV holders. Might only be a partial explanation zo.

Réservation à la hausse. In order to limit a stock's volatility, orders are frozen for some time when the value of a given stock is up or down 10%+.

We know why. An RH happened due to Euronext's stock trading policy.

I think with all the orders yet to be announced, and epidemic specialists pushing for testing on a large scale in order to avoid any further major outbreak, there's ample room for a doubling of the share price.

Novacyt as a company had been in the process of turning around its business model, now with a major focus on testing. This is why its finances were modest. With the influx of cash they're getting now, one can be sure their balance sheet looks much nicer.

Nice post Velo. This stock has ample room before reaching its full potential.

I'm curious as to whom you compared Novacyt against, in your valuation benchmarks.

Just buy the shares, but not at the opening, wait for the mid day.
Then be patient for the weeks to come.

Quickdraw18 : That sentence you quote is exactly why I'm cautious about making any sort of assumption. To me it reads : "We needed to validate our experimental LAMP test by benchmarking it against a PCR test, and we chose Primerdesign because their product is good, they're easy to reach cuz based in the UK, and maybe they'll give us samples for free". That's about it.

hhbb8833 : Interesting figures. If the policy in Gibraltar is indeed to test all the negative cases, then LAMP would indeed remain a complementary assessment tool. But it remains to be seen if other parts of the UK, and other countries, will have the same policy.
Regardless, due to the enormous demand of tests on a worldwide scale, I doubt this competing technology would be much of a threat in terms of sales.

There is still no evidence that the brand new LAMP tests are involving Primerdesign in any way, shape or form. Much as we'd like to.

Once again peddling the ramper myth of Primerdesign being involved in any other way that providing a bunch of test kits.

6,5€ seems reasonably achievable.

That Primerdesign is involved with LAMP tests other than through giving them a bunch of test kits remains PURE SPECULATION.

It'd be nice if the involvement was more thorough than this, but given we haven't had any CONCRETE EVIDENCE, it's time to stop getting carried away and get back to Earth.
