I believe the reference to "Activ-2" isn't a bad one as this would refer to the collective drugs in the trial, one of which is Synairgen. If the home trial SNG016 is full then we should expect results from this shortly as this is people with Covid19.
I have considered selling some stock and taking the profits but when you look at the trial data to date and the Β£80m placing to scale up, it seems like a 80/20 bet this stock will sore in the coming weeks.
RE: No evidence delaying vaccine doses will work β manufacturers4 Jan 2021 17:39
Vaccine was rushed and now playing with doses as panic about new strain is setting in... Will be interesting to see the "science" behind moving away from the trial data
Good to see shares getting back to former values. Brought shares initially as believe in this treatment for Covid19 and keen to see the UK government join the FDA in expediting the trail as this will save lives and more importantly the vaccine sceptics will be keen to see this has already been through a proper trial.
This has been a good share for me, brought them months ago and sold when they turned a profit, sold 200,000 shares today, made 12k profit. I'll probably dip back in when they drop to 5p
We all truly hope the vaccines will work and there won't be any side effects. Very surprised by the news from MHRA today as this smacks of pier pressure. I was listening yesterday to a medic who said not to expect anything for another 2-4 months from the MHRA, I just hope we don't regret this apparent hast. No one knows what uptake will be like (even doctors and nurses are sceptical about taking it) and there is no reports yet on transmission, even if the vaccine protects the individual taking it. There remains a place for treatments like SNG001 as there will always be those individuals that contract coronavirus and haven't had the vaccine (Indian and China have populations of over 1.2bn each)...
Millie101 - is there any data that SNG001 will help with long covid? I thought the issue with long covid was that the damage during covid (asymptomatic or not) was not curable without months of rehab? Personally I am staying with Synairgen as it has the money to make a success of the business and the treatment isn't something that messes with your DNA...
The uptake of a vaccine will determine the need for SNG. There is now a 2 year window of high opportunity and then a longer term reduced value window of say 4-5 years (this is on the basis that vaccines won't be used once you have covid-19). The quicker SNG come back with phase 3 trial results, the better as there will be a point when NICE and other regulators say no to new treatments. At the moment governments have very large pockets for treatments.
We need new news on Synairgen SNG001, even an update on the uptake of the home trial. Does anyone know how many of the vaccine phase 3 trials were exposed to Covid-19 as although there were tens of thousands of participants, hard to see how many were exposed to covid-19...
