The economics of vaccines will enviably be there undoing.
AZ is cheap at around £3 per shot but if you vaccinate 1,000 people you then have a cost of £3,000 the same as synairgen. On the basis that we are looking to vaccinate c.40m people and around 0.2% of the people actually need a vaccine, that is < 80,000. SNG would cost 80,000 x 3,000 = £24m, the cheapest vaccine would be £120m + double to actually administer the vaccine (Pfizer is around £24 if my memory is correct).
So, keep paying out over £1bn pa or move to something that stops people dying when they need it... (No brainer)
