Shorting - anything is possible but they must have spent around 17.5m for their current position.
FS companies normally hedge themselves out of positions the last thing they normally do is buy shares unless they have a good reason to (2m on since Activ-2 and SNG still in which is a great sign)!

What are peoples thoughts on the issues with AZ and the other vaccines? I strongly believe we still need an effective vaccine programme but with Denmark dropping AZ, is this a sign of things to come...

Hi all, for the record I am not against vaccinations I just wish the government and its propaganda machine (aka BBC) treated us with a bit more dignity and gave us all the information rather than ramming vaccines down our throats daily and then when changing tact (like not giving AZ jab to under 30's) that they didn't just brush over it.
Even with the stats on blood clots (bell's palsy not on anyone's radar) we are told about the cases being very low based on the 30m+ vaccinations but 1m of these were 30 or under which significantly changes the stats.
It appears that Europe is listening more to their scientists more than us, which is a shame as the under 55's are less fearful of covid19 and they will need more convincing to have the vaccine...

Woodstock, sorry to hear that mate. My brothers bell's palsy happened after 3 weeks before that he was fit and healthy. This has put me off having the vaccine now as there is a couple of years older than me but has never been ill with anything (guessing our DNA is similar).
A big part of my investing in Synairgen is that I believe this and other treatments are the best way out of covid19.

This is all a bit academic until we get across the line but when considering value for money, it costs £2k a day for a covid19 patient in hospital... Even NICE will see SNG001 is good value for money!

We have all seen the price go up to £2.50 and drop to below £1, either believe in the science and company and hold or don't, dump your shares and move on. Personally I am holding.

Without news the share price will move around presenting buying opportunities. You either believe in Synairgen and hold or you react to price fluctuations sell and miss the prize...

BBC raved about Synairgen and now France is on the bandwagon. The NHS have been using a steroid for some time no this is not surprising news. You need to remember though that it is highly probable that Europe and the rest of the world will take a different stance to the UK and anything with an Oxford association (based on new rules around the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine) is likely to be viewed in a dim light, unfortunate but alas true.

The trial group is important;
1,700 people at high risk of becoming severely ill with Covid-19 - all aged over 50, either with an underlying health condition or aged over 65 with no health problems
Most people over 65 have some kind of underlying health condition...

Whilst we wait on news from Synairgen, can I suggest contributors stick to the facts. We are all waiting patiently with our small, medium and large investments and while we can all speculate about things, some of it is very unhelpful.
From a selfish perspective I personally would like an alternative to a vaccine as although they are of paramount importance not everyone will be protected and we need something we can self administer so our economy can fully recover.
Lockdown has had its day, we need normality...

Contracts are excellent news but aren't the loans a bit worrying?
Product is great although would make larger profit if battery life was less than 10 years (we had one that ran out in year 9, new unit shipped)...
