Serenus - on the subject of 'every little bit helps' I can only suggest, if you have not already done so, reading 'Sustainable Energy without the Hot Air' by David MacKay - this book caused a bit of a paradigm shift for UK politicians ten years ago as it laid out clearly that even with adding up every little bit of what we could conceive of then we would be nowhere near where we need to be. VRFB's even get a positive mention.

The alternative is not simply giving up but it has to include facing up to the hard quantitative realities of what we're doing to and have already done to the atmosphere and not simply switching off a few lights and feeling like we've done our bit.

Serenus - alas the world currently produces 40 billion tonnes of CO2 per year so yet again we have a research scale prospect that is never going to amount to anything even if you could get the whole world to follow suit.

Time has run out for developing new solutions, we need to start applying what we have now, and at a very large scale.

coffeecups - I don't think we are going to be buying any of them and will simply make the stuff under license to UET. But if you wanted to buy out one of the companies I guess it would have to be WattJoule, but then there might be some clause in the original license that says that if the company is sold on then the license may revert to PNNL, (especially if you are chinese co)

I think Ophidian has hit the nail right on the head - there's only three licenses from PNNL to make the mixed acids electrolyte:

UniEnergy Technologies have one which is only fair because it was the team led by Zhenguo 'Gary' Wang who invented the mixed acids electrolyte when they were working at PNNL. (US Patent 8,628,880 http://www.uetechnologies.com/company/leadership/17-company/leadership/35-z-gary-yang-ph-d)

One of the other licenses was held by Pure Vanadium, who were bought out by the Stina/Cellcube guys in the middle of the year. The final licensee is the private company Wattjoule (https://www.wattjoule.com/)

There's a lot more people making VRFBs with the classic single acid electrolyte - RedT Energy, Rongke Power (although closely connected with UET it is likely that they cannot simply just take UET electrolyte without risking the PNNL license), Voltstorage, Sumitomo, Vionx Energy, Schmid and of course Cellcube who were making single acid VRFB's before being taken over by Stina.

Mixed acids electrolyte for batteries we make with UET for South Africa / Africa and Single Acid, classic electrolyte for everyone else, including China.

dryland - no anybody like that who turns up on this board is simply a stooge who may claim that to try and make others believe that it is a self-fulfilling prophesy.

It is not and anyone who bought here will do very well if they simply hold on to their shares - this board and this share is the best and most deeply researched one on AIM and anyone who visits this board for more than 20 minutes will be able to see that.

The drop today was entirely due to the Market Makers who are indulging themselves by dropping the share price at a sellers expense.

If anybody was so foolish as to try shorting at the point that the SP bottoms out then they really are supremely dumb - this will easily be spotted and the MMs will simply squeeze them like they did last wednesday.

Until the price movement that we see today is punished / taken advantage of by some very significant buying then they will continue to drive the price down. Perhaps the seller has told them that they have to get rid of X million by the end of November and if nobody else turns up to buy them then the MMs will simply indulge themselves with some cheap shares to fill their short position.

We can complain as much as we like but the simple fact is that the only real thing that will correct this abuse is buying power plain and simple. Equally anyone selling now is not just doing themselves a disservice but is also potentially prolonging the abuse for everyone else.

Interesting that there was actually a Buy of 293,029 yesterday at 43.60p - right at the point that the publicly advertised Ask was pinned at 43.0p.

Looks like my scenario 2 interpretation of yesterday was correct. Thanks to NickD and others for spotting the strange trading behaviour and reporting on it here at the time.

I'm happy if we only make the AIM100 - then we get to have a second lot of positive news when we make the AIM50.

More interesting news - a 250K trade from yesterday which I think now forms a triplet structure at 16:32 and also the stockexchange shows that the 80K at 8:05 this morning is also a duplicated pair trade - lovely lovely details.

No but I am sure that Mikhail knows exactly what he is doing as he is in very close contact with Peter Fischer of the Karlsruhe Fraunhofer Institute who are the acknowledged experts on VRFB electrolyte testing and specifications. Very nice group, I spent a day with them in Germany earlier this year.
