The market is being pessimistic about the Trading update this week.

There will be volatility but this may be the floor. Potentially a doubler from here in 2-3 months.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) reported record quarterly earnings, significantly boosting investor confidence in AI-related technologies. The company's plans to increase capital expenditure to $56 billion for 2026 further solidify its position in the semiconductor market.

Maybe the $56 billions will be spent entirely to acquire IQE.

Bizarre share price action. Wonder if data on poor performance over Christmas has leaked.

@Cheapsharesboy We do not have enough elements to make a guess at this point. An all share offer for 10p is very conservative, 15p is "reasonable".

Regarding selling parts of the business, it leaves an open question, what will it be the value and prospect for the unsold part of business?

I hope we have a good negotiator among the managers in IQE.

not a 5x with EBITDA of £2mln. I think 2x revenue is more realistic, which takes us to 20p at most. Still a decent profit for a few weeks holding period.

Worst case a target of 15p should be the floor.

US Stocks are buoyant. If the trading update is positive we may hit 150p by summer.

Cash position is almost a quarter of the market cap... is this correct or am I missing something? Are we on the way back to 30p here?

AI alone won't help, it can be a tool for an analyst but investing will never be an exact science, the future is uncertain by its nature

AI is very good for an analysis in hindsight.

What sale?

I will have a laugh (a bitter one obviously) if JD doesn't re-rate going through the world cup in 2026. 150p as bare minimum. If we don't hit 150p it means, either, "we" screwed up with operations or with the re-establishment of investor confidence.
