For some reason, and on reading Amaja's posts, I can't fathom why, I thought 'they' had said something that indicated they were female. Clearly my mistake having certainly found posts mentioning he is a Dutchman.

Apologies to Amaja and Johnnie as it was probably my mistaken assumption of identity that led to the confusion.

This investment, for myself as a small PI, has been interesting.

I love the story, the potential could turn out to be historic. However, for all that, as Dr Trice himself keeps repeating, it all depends on the data. I look forward to seeing positive results and will check in again around October/November. In the meantime, doldrums, ups and downs, whatever, I continue to hold having rebalanced to a level I'm much more comfortable with given the many unknowns at this point and will see you all again around October/November.

At this point, I take solace in the words of Warren Buffet by avoiding the sound of gossip and speculation, and relax in the knowledge that at the very least, in Lancaster alone, we all have a very sound investment.

Having watched the presentation and the Q&A I noted that Dr Trice replied in kind in generally the same way to everyone. He was clearly particularly appreciate of those who posed questions with a more technical bent which evidenced some understanding of the prospect before them, such as the broker from Artemis. It was interesting reading body language towards the Peel Hunt broker. There was a degree of irritation and shortness, however the question was answered perfectly reasonably in my view. Clearly he's a geologist first and a marketeer second. He did, in my view, answer the question perfectly reasonably once he'd overcome whatever was the initial cause of irritation. I don't think he merits the criticism some on here have been throwing at him. It was an immensely positive result and overall he did well to patiently go over what to him was standard technical stuff that we've all read and are familiar with for some years now.

More interestingly, I found the way 'Hurricane' worked as a team and supported each other Stobie/Trice/McTiernan was more of a positive overall. Could Dr Trice work on patient listening? Yes. Then again, so could most Doctors in the UK.

Agreed Capital Markets Day is all about promotion, however these guys aren't fools, they want hard data and facts - I'm hoping we get some pointers. Have to say I've derisked substantially as reality sinks in that much as I love this story and want it to succeed, I also need hard data to back up my investment.

Yes, none of us have a crystal ball and have to try to make sense of the facts in hand. Let's hope CMD brings us all some real clarity and a renewed optimism.

Though ... I stand by my earlier comment, I'd like to see Hurricane go main market but they've clearly decided their top priority is to get the field data in. It seems to me there's a very clear reason for that.

Following the AGM, it seems to me the very fact they haven't prioritized a move to the main market indicates they don't believe it would be worthwhile doing so because they are likely to have been taken over before that happens ...

Sure, until 2c becomes 2p there's no additional value the market can add at the moment. I was kind of teasing Longwait's use of the word 'acknowledged' but missed the mark.

Sorry Longwait, but how can the market acknowledge what they don't yet know? That was only the first drill on GWA and always down as a bit of a long shot anyway. Rather a lot still to prove before anything gets 'acknowledged'.
