Has been a good day for me too. Finally rejigged portfolio to rebalance using the 20% profit from 8% of my holding in Hurricane. Hoping the other investments will start to shape up equally well by the end of this year. Now have to Google Isostar ...

Aduk, just had a quick listen, maths not my forte, though I do appreciate the language:

With that I kind of concur, some trust and faith is necessary, it makes the world go round.

And taking your post to Tantalum a little further, purely because it seems interesting to me to do so, for the benefit of anyone wondering.

How do conjecture/subjective assumption differ? And, more to the point, given we are all subjective human individuals (well, for the most part) how can we even be certain of communicating a clear 'hello' without ambiguity?

As a dear friend once said: "The world is spinning, stop, I want to get off!" Of the world that is and the confusion and contradiction inherent no doubt ...

On the subject of maths; an observation, that, as a language, maths might remain the most honest and pure language available soon enough. While our theories may remain conceptual at least we have a language in maths to explore possibility.
These days the English language, at least, has been adulterated by mainstream journalism to the point of no meaning and the essays of George Orwell on language proved all to direly prescient.

You literally don't know - could bounce straight up again by Monday. I'm confident the SP will continue it's upward move with good news around the corner. That's confident, not by any means certain of anything!

Useful summary of PoO and it's downward trajectory today. Read down to the last sentence to note that overall this year PoO has seen an increase of 25% plus this year. General market chaos as others have already noted. Who knows what will have changed by Monday!

Oh and should say, Morgan Stanley also quoted a bear case of around 18p per share if it all goes horribly wrong ... but in all fairness even it were to (and that is really unlikely here) they'd probably earn it back soon enough. It's a solid operation IMO.

£1 is very possible between now and the end of the year. All depends on outcome of EPS and GWA drills/data. Put it this way, this is definitely a good year to be invested but recommend doing some reading up of timelines on the Hurricane website. Morgan Stanley may be underestimating or overestimating - the data gathered will tell us where we really are soon enough.

I guess review the fundamentals and decide. Clearly many UK businesses with an export market are feeling royally screwed by certain events in our Parliament at the moment. That is not an invitation to mention the B word and I'm sure there are many other factors, not least China's and Eastern Europe's increased exports over the last decade.

On another subject entirely and please forgive the OT, but sad to see British Steel moving into liquidation today. I had some hope the British Steel industry might have something of a revivial but evidently not. If anyone here lives near Scunthorpe or is connected, sincere best wishes to you.

As a frequent post on the ii Board I can say that many posters there have expressed their best wishes for HtL and asked after him with some concern lately. To the best of my knowledge his treatment was being closely monitored, he posted to sort of say he was going to need to take a break for a bit and we haven't heard anything for about 2 months now. He knows we're thinking of him but if any of you here know him personally please let us know how he is, if he is OK with that and pass on best wishes from all on the II Board and I'm sure here too.
