Nothing hypocritical about it I'm afraid. It simply is as it is - nothing I can do to change what's happened. I'm actually not rubbing my hands together with glee fwiw but I'm relieved it may offer me the opportunity to rebalance having missed it last week. That's the truth. What happens in other countries can also happen here. It's a very disturbing precedent.

Lot of potential here, also definitely not derisked yet. I'm already in a nailbiting stock and don't need another one at the moment but will get back in when I rebalance and things look clearer and I imagine they should in a few months time.
Not saying you may be biased particularly more an observation on my part on how easy it is to fall in love with a good story and filter out negative news.

It's a worrying precedent but in the context of this ongoing conflict escalation was the only probable outcome sadly.
Conflicting indeed on a personal level, as missed the opportunity to top slice last week and may be glad I did!

Sincerely hope that can be averted. Anti's clearly being upped though and is a real concern.

Appalled by today's news, just got home and catching up. Relieved and amazed to read 'no casualties'. Could have been quite horrific. I guess we'll get reports on damage assessment and impact on the markets in due course. Monday could be interesting!!

On balance your post I agree with and have done the same myself. I would, however, if you permit, ask whether you think perhaps the BoD's salary at this point is really reasonable? Could they perhaps knock a bit off while so much is in the balance?

Everything you say is perfectly reasonable and relatable - however, beware of investor bias. Once we have committed our £ or $ to something it's rather hard to stay objective.
That's said with all empathy, we're all investors here or elsewhere and it can be a hard ride at times.
