The difference this time is it's holding around 10 give or take. The article in the Times has clearly made an impact. This is a competitive market and sensitive information will be guarded tightly. The market is largely bullish on this right now, news that deals are in progress but not guaranteed is credible. The potential is there regardless of the Chinese payment which is why I reinvested at 6.90. Was very happy to hear confirmation of exploration into other markets.

I imagine many holders will be biting their nails from here on in. Will Warwick West deliver the results we have all been waiting for? Some for over five years, some less.
Whatever is said or not said on this board the RNS and SP will be the final arbiter on this point. And, on that point, I would say this much, this share does not behave according to normal technical indications, whatever some may say. The price may dip low then rebound, it may stay steady, then rise. It may rise, fall and then rebound. Keep your senses wide open, watch the SP movement but also watch the volume and where it rises or falls in coming weeks.
Regardless of WW this is a sound investment, particularly for those who bought in low in the early days. Hold steady and dyor, don't be swayed by sudden sells or buys - hold steady and observe and act according to your own risk level.
My genuine hope is this is going to succeed but I also acknowledge bias and look out for it.

Dan told me when I spoke to him (see previous post in September?) that the brokers they wanted to work with were wary of Chinese involvement. He understand the benefits and said it was being considered. My guess would be they are looking to strengthen and consolidate their current position before being ready to bring a broker on board.

Quite inspiring to see this board uplifted - great posts over the last few days - could it be an omen?

I guess my question was really do we meet the criteria to benefit from the premiums mentioned in Mount Teide's post on advfn, given our crude is light and sweet? It seems to be it's another selling point in our favour if that is so. Not worried, as our oil on current analysis is high quality stuff, just interested to hear the views of those with experience in the industry.

I guess from a numptie's understanding (it goes without saying - mine) I'd be interested to know if our crude would meet the criteria for 2020's shipping regs.

So Lancaster has been tested as producing (to date) (from Hur's website)
"The well, 205/21a-4, discovered a pervasive fracture network and flowed light (38° API) oil to surface, demonstrating the viability of the Rona Ridge basement play."
And Lincoln Crestal analysis to date has shown:
"Lincoln Crestal, the second and most recent well, was a success with flow testing results last week confirming rates of 9,800 bopd with pumping and 4,682 bopd in natural flow conditions. The crude was confirmed as being light, 43 degree API, oil."

Premium Heavy sweet Australian crude is currently attracting a $10-14 price premium to dated Brent as a result of its suitability to produce LSFO compliant with the IMO 2020 Shipping Fuel Regs. As we approach the IMO 2020 implementation date the market is seeing increasing evidence of a surge in the price of premium light sweet crude grades too. Last week saw Santos sell a cargo of December-loading Australian Cooper Basin premium light sweet crude at a premium of around $8.00-8.50 a barrel to dated Brent. While the new Norwegian Johan Sverdrup field that recently went into production is finding its light, sweet crude also in strong demand with Asian processors looking to produce more high quality transport and IMO 2020-compliant fuel. Shandong Qingyuan Group, a Chinese teapot, bought about 1 million barrels of Johan Sverdrup at a premium of $6 to $6.50 a barrel to dated Brent last week. This bodes well for future Montara sales as Montara is an ultra premium light sweet grade compared with Johan Sverdrup. European Light Sweet Premium Crude 0.81% Sulphur / 27.1% API - Johan Sverdrup(Price up from +$2 to +$6.25 to Brent) Australian Light Sweet Premium Crude 0.02% Sulphur / 42.9% API - COOPER BASIN (Price up from +$3 to +$8.25 to Brent) 0.05% Sulphur / 35.1% API - MONTARA (+$4.0 prior to recent light, sweet price surge) It will be fascinating to see how the IMO 2020 Regulations play out on the shipping and oil industries in 2020. In the oil industry the evidence points to the winners being the producers of either premium heavy sweet or light sweet crude grades - and particularly producers located relatively close to the large ship bunking hubs like Singapore. Jadestone produces premium quality heavy sweet(Stag) and ultra premium light sweet(Montara) grades and is located some 7,000 miles closer to Singapore than its West African(Heavy Sweet) and European(light sweet) competitors.

Finally had some time to catch up on reading this week.

With regard to the recent 'rise', Marshall Wace opened a new short on 15 October and increased it on 23 October - that coincided with a spike. A pump and dump while we're in the doldrums. I'd say the rise was unconnected to anything other than that. Too far off for drill results - signs of which expected mid to late November.

Congratulations to all holders on the news today. Now looks very encouraging. Bought back in a few weeks ago having freed up some other investments at 6.9, topped up today. This could go either way while deals are worked through and may go down in the interim but encouraging enough for me to put money back in based on the direction the BOD are taking and hold.

While we wait for news, second SPG2 comment's on Laserdisc and Slipanchor. You guys could but MI5 out of a job and as private investors we have a great deal to thank you for in providing us with actual indicators of progress etc.

While we're in the doldrums at the moment, good news on Warwick West should change that. Still a lot to come in the next 24 months besides. Brent currently increasing which can only help with the next offload (depending on weather etc).

Rational: You have a keen sense of humour. I had a somewhat harrowing week ahead of me. Humour wins out over anything posted on a BB.
Maybe I called it wrong, bu just to say, by way of one being to another, quite atrociously candidly, if I can, in these times of degeneration and bad grammar, raise a smile, a mere whiff of hope and humour, then so be it, I plough on, though my crops be plagued with locusts.

Completely agree broker targets should always be taken with a pinch of salt, by the time they've posted their analysis it's usually out of date anyway. If we take the figures out of it though (pinch of salt and all that) the overall message was 'this company is seriously undervalued'. That I suspect most of us here would no doubt agree with!

Apologies, possibly I've missed something, but Barclays actually upgraded Hurricane to overweight today. Meaning it is an excellent value stock destined to bring holders profit at these bargain prices. I've already referenced Proactive Investors article which goes a step further ... 'Hurricane expected to outperform' .... are you aware how misleading your post was?
