In truth I am beginning to ask myself a bigger question and this, I fully acknowledge, may be a bit out there, but nonetheless - how is it in Hurricane's interests to keep the SP down? Question 1: Could it be? Have we missed something in our eagerness to make a profit?

OK, so to drill down into the various arguments: we need IIs onboard. What prevents them? AIM listing and proven data. Right that's that then. Then we have the growing political momentum of Climate Change activists and pressure on our political parties to act plus a growing sentiment: oil is bad: green is good. As far as PIs are concerned, it seems we are a mixed bunch: some trading, some holding long term, some clueless but taking a punt, some not so clueless but taking a punt regardless, some in love with the story and holding. I'm probably a mix of all of the above at any given point in time depending on my personal financial needs - not being in the happy position of having an abundance of cash to invest.

My initial reason for investing back in January 2018 still stands. What I'm not clear on is how the SP is where it is today. I have read the many different reasons put forward over the last two years and frankly am none the wiser for it. In my mind it is very clear, resources are continuously being proved up, data will emerge and at some point something else will happen. What is the likelihood of the SP remaining at this level? Unlikely in my opinion. What is the likelihood of a SP changing event? Likely to very likely. When will that be? God alone knows! Till then I'm holding.

It was autocorrected, clearly. Petethestreet's posts are generally measured and reasonable so he meant no offense. In that spirit - I meant none either. I credit you with enough of a sense of humour and goodwill to appreciate that.

Genuinely sorry to hear you have been ill but don't use that as an excuse to insult others quite deliberately!

Giving you a tick up for the generally sensible things you post and in fellow feeling at the pain of an autocorrect gone horribly but hilariously wrong. Though, your innocently autocorrected moniker for Bloobird might accurately describe the general feeling of many who await an upturn (myself included - though optimistic nonetheless)!

Who knows? Personally I can only see a meaningful shift at CMD in January when the well test data is presented on Lancaster and Lincoln and IIs come onboard. So far this has been a trader's share, those who can afford to pump millions in to gain on a few pence, I am hoping for a shift in the next few months - but, really, who knows?

Whether one or two - and it is ambiguous - the 'and' not necessarily meaning two but could also mean 'once we have news on both we will issue one RNS' - news will be with us, thankfully, sooner than we'd hoped. Time to do something more interesting and relax and wait for a suprise RNS. Of course there are folk with different strategies aligned to their different needs and that obviously effects what they need to hear. If you're in it for the long term, time to relax and sit back.

The RNS was interesting - it seems to have been interpreted by most commentators as a 'non-denial' of rumour. An ambiguous bardo state open to interpretation. At the end of the day folk need to do their homework and make their own decisions. I've already stated my position and my interpretation of the RNS is - Warwick West is producing oil - the only question is how much.

May I recommend Prozac?

Good luck all, think we're about to see an upward curve - my gut feeling - DYOR - but feeling confident. Good be completely wrong of course, but think this is one weekend where you wouldn't want to be out.

Oops - neglected to mention the Lib Dems. Back in David Steel's time, an honourable party. Have seen enough game playing and cowtowing to the conversatives to write them off unless they publicly state they have turned a leaf. Their electioneering tactics unfortunately, seem to more about putting down everyone else rather than stating what they bring to the table. Politics ... there has to be another way ...

Interesting post. I personally think the US shale market is over hyped and will be short lived.
Back to SP action today. I observed a similar pattern back in June when the share price shot up to 56p in one leg of a W. Appreciating this is a public BB and people sometimes, unfortunately, make decisions based on what is posted here I want to state I am merely speculating as a PI, have no financial or investing background etc., but in my bones feel this is going to go up and when it does it will finally go to a new level and stay there. The next few weeks are going to be interesting but remember that Institutional Investors are waiting for long term data and until they have that may not commit further at this stage.
Other factors - our currently bonkers political situation etc. Right now I'd be happy to vote for the Bank of England party and cut out the obnoxious conversatives, the crazy labourites and the financially challenged Greens. All have their merits but I trust not one of them to manage this country competently.

Yes AND No. Doubt the good Dr would walk into a presentation with this title at this particular juncture if there wasn't some confidence behind this claim ... if he had an inkling there was no connectivity or the read through was negative he might have been advised to downplay it somewhat?

Actually the title of his speech at the Scottish Oil Club is:

"Progress in delivering the UK’s next super-giant oil field"

Left out the 'super'.

On the read through point on well connectivity, interesting that the good Dr is speaking on a 'Giant Oil Feed' as per MissDosh's post. Very confident tone ...
