RE: Non Execs1 Sep 2022 12:08
Frogjumper, look back to November last year. There was RNS published that flagged that the shares may be subject to suspension. Caution was provided in that statement that the limit for rules for AIM had been reached. The reaction to that RNS caused the share price to plummet. Over the course of 2 months the SP rose 50%. The shares were suspended and trading has not resumed.
I really am not sure quite what I can add to help you in this matter.
Of course, there have been statements from the company that things are ticketty-boo in recent weeks and shareholders can draw comfort from those. When trading in the shares resumes I am pretty certain that there will be a huge volume turned over and in the space of a few hours, perhaps even 3 or 4 days there will be wild swings in the share price that takes everything that has happenned for the last 7 or 8 months into account.
Many will simply take what ever price they can and head for the doors driving the price down, others will be buying furiously and taking the price up. It would not surprise me to see daily swings in the SP of 20%-25% sometimes up and sometimes down.
Anyway, I am not invested in this company, do not trust the managers BUT I am not the ultimate decision maker in my small company when it comes to organising carriage for goods, though I do have great influence. The prices are attractive, don't get me wrong, but it is not a reliable service (30% did not arrive in the agreed timescale), a high incidence of "lost in transit" goods - mainly alcohol and prestige electronic goods - breakage through poor handling (1% is acceptable, 2.5% or greater is not. But it is the failure to return "broken" goods or explain "lost in transit" stock that influenced my decision.
50,000 -70,000 parcels that we send annually is small, I know that. I also know that for some I can use DPD and the rest Royal Mail but these come at higher cost - iro £1.16/item. You can buy an awful lot of replacement stuff with 50,000 x £1.16 and that is the commercial decision that is made.
A change of CEO along with the board will mean that I will once again consider DX. A decent trial will be made - 500 or so parcels and the results monitored. I could be extremely unfair in the tarnish that I give and TBH, I really don't care if that is justified.
I hope that gives you a fuller answer. I will not comment further on this board, suffice to wish all shareholders good fortune in the future.
