well i don't think, as a BBC presenter, Stephen Nolan particularly comes within 'rich and famous' and you may note that the Court awarded him his legal costs as well . so, depending on the stage at which the troll decided to throw the towel in, he could be looking at say another £100k in costs as well let alone his own legal costs. more pertinently in cases on these company blogging boards, typically the plaintiff is the company itself and/or its directors so legal costs are unlikely to be a hindrance to action. End of.

probably right beetlesblue (don't believe it's been tested anyway) but if an anonymous handle posts defamation about the company or individual directors, then that is libel and actionable. as you can see from the stephen nolan case and as i've mentioned previously, there is a relatively easy procedure available to discover the true identity of the defaming party

the trolls on this board don't ever admit to being wrong ( which they have been consistently on numerous topics over time). nor do they respond to research by Zac Phillips, who represents a kind of anti-christ figure for them. that's because he is a well respected oil and gas sector analyst who has followed san leon closely over the last 5 years and bases his analysis on thorough research and actual fact.

indeed sam, nor does it include the rto of course. i believe, if this happens, not only will it position san leon brilliantly as a regional specialist to benefit from the exciting opportunities for growth in the niger delta but will also immediately and significantly be value accretive in its own right

thanks for posting Sam - another thorough piece of research and value analysis by the excellent Zac Phillips, who has closely followed San Leon’s story in Nigeria since its inception and indeed is known to have visited OML18. shareholders should be much comforted that Tosca, as its major shareholder, remain so supportive of the company’s development and that both Oisin Fanning and Jite Okoloku (through Midwestern) are significant shareholders, since all their interests are well aligned with ours.

and a quick lesson in issuing shares for the kindergarten class: it's NOT dilutive if the value of assets acquired exceed the value of the shares issued. unlikely that our major shareholder Martin Hughes would be interested in an rto that diluted the value of his holding if you think about it. which you clearly haven't. pretty simple really.
